You are clearly putting words into my mouth as I wasnt talking about the Final, I was talking about tonight as you harp on about Federa!! can you tell my why Novak doesnt deserve to win if he good enough on sunday???? (which i said he will pre-tournament btw)

Secondly I find making excuses for Federa rather givng Nole (hellllooooo he was the winner last time i checked ) his full dues is as moronic as it is disrespectful.......but thats just me!

When I read your post I thought you meant that Novak deserved to win the open more than Tsonga. My mistake if I interpreted your post incorreclty.

I have paid respect to Novak's performance. I have commented several times that Novak was the deserved winner. All I have said is that Federer was not helping his cause by making so many unforced errors and if that is so disrespectful that you see fit to call this statment moronic then it seems like you don't want to have any meaningful debate about the match.

If you just comment on how great Novak played without analysing Federers game, then its not really providing a balanced perspective.

People need to realise that Federer was underdone. Especially at the pointy end of the Slam, and most certainly at the Australian Open, if you havent had the match practice you wont be able to stick it with the best.

Federer will bounce back in a big way- expect some fire from him at the French.

Was a bit of both.
Novak was great,
Rog wasn't at his top, maybe his top isn't as high anymore
End of.

My sentiments exactly. It was a good win by Novak but Federer was underprepared. Federer obviously won't come out and say that but he looked rusty from day 1 of the open.
All this talk about how Novak made Federer frame the ball or spray his forehand are only half true, because Federer was committing a lot of unforced errors in his previous matches. Federer v Safin in 2005, now that was a match where both players played high quality tennis.

People said the same thing when nadal played federer at wimbledon finals. The fact is he only had 35 unforced errors in the whole 5 set marathon. Its just whenever federer loses or gets pushed he doesnt play to his potential...well i will tell you what, if Nalbandian played to his potential, he would have beaten everyone, but oh well
