Port Adelaide joins Crows, SANFL in reaching new Oval revenue sharing agreement
March 10, 2015 4:18 PM
Port Adelaide will earn a greater share of revenue from its home game days at Adelaide Oval in 2015 and beyond.
A new agreement has been reached that will see Port Adelaide earn a greater share of revenue generated by its home game days and inventory sales at the Adelaide Oval in 2015 and beyond. The model agreed to at the Oval on Tuesday will see an extra $3.1 million shared between the Power and Crows this season, increasing to $4.1 million in 2016 and 2017.
Importantly, the new deal will see Port Adelaide have the opportunity to earn greater revenue through driving higher attendances. Port Adelaide had one of the AFL's highest home game attendance averages in 2015, including posting two South Australian AFL attendance records.
Included in the deal with both the Power and Crows is the provision by the SANFL of additional reserved seating income and coporate inventory opportunties and incentives for playing home finals at the venue.
More to come...
