Nadal looking good. Will make the semi at least, would beat Murray in a semi, would lose to Djokovic in a semi. But I think winner will come from those 3, I just have a feeling Fed will not win it this time around.

For anyone that's seen him play, how does Nadal look both physically and in terms of how he's hitting the ball?

Would love to see another fed nadal final.

From what I read Nadal has been playing more aggressively this week but haven't watched him myself.

Start time for this years night sessions has been bought forward to 7pm, with the so called "feature match" being played first.

Good move as far as order of matches is concerned, but I guess what this really means is that all night matches will probably be delayed by at least half an hour on tv this year due to not being able to move Home and Away from the 7pm slot, ala Better Homes and Gardens during the footy season?

Home and Away always starts after The AO - but its never showen live into Adelaide regardless so I wont notice anything

foxsports will not be showing any of the australian open this year. yes it is bullshit i know. we will have too put up with bruce and matthew for 2 weeks and 7 only showing a set of tennis here and there. but show 5 sets of lleyton hewitts first round loss twice
that totally suks - but I doubt that the laws will change...goverment is too stuck up its arse to care really

question for those who know - I havent heard a peep as to how Nole is going.......anyone?

Nole has changed things up a bit this year, he's just playing Kooyong then Aussie Open. Good move I say, he played soooo many matches last year and a late start might be what he needs. By the time Kooyong comes he would've had plenty of time to rest and re-charge the batteries in order to give the Aus Open a real shake. :thumbsu:

Read an article in the paper the other day, being training hard in hot conditions so he's better prepared this year, he actually admitted last year was an embarrassment for him which is nice to hear because he really needs to harden the hell up.

Djokovic is one of my favourites based on his game style, but his lack of heart has pissed me off.

Actions > words.

Hopefully he hardens up this AO, otherwise in terms of me being a fan, he's gonna follow the same path gael peaheart monfils has.

With his talent, djokovic must finish his career as a multiple slam winner, rather than a one slam wonder.

Djokovic showed very good signs in the last few months of 2009 and I think and hope he has turned the corner. At the start of last year, people were saying that Murray was ahead of Djokovic, but I think it is the other way round at this point in time.

Wait... so having the Aus Open night match start at 7pm mean that Channel 7 will show H&A then show a 30 minute delayed broadcast of the match? I hope not.:(

Shitty that there won't be Fox Sports coverage either this year.

Be more like 45 by the time 7 stop crapping on about all the unrelated shit.

Channel 7's lead in to a match:

Return from an ad break, 10 second pointless interview with the two players, players are introduced onto the court, ad break. They come back, funnily enough just commence their warm up (gee, must have sat in their chaires for a while ), hit for a few minutes and then we have yet another ad break.

Between Griggs stuffing up every players name, the cringeworthy interviews, the commentators, all the ads, is this the worst tennis coverage in the world?

Yes.

Anyone know if Courier will be out again this year? Only good thing about their coverage.

Yeah, Courier is back, love his commentary.

I'm looking forward to seeing the peahearted ******** flog quit again. Biggest douchebag going around in mens tennis. Can't wait to see him call out a trainer every 10 minutes like his hero Jelena 'snapper' Jankovic.

Accoring to Chris Dittmar, "In the 22 years of this tournament (Kooyong) this may be the best field we've ever seen here". Yeah cause no Federer, Murray, Roddick is really the best. Who are they honestly trying to kid?

Again JA keeping us in the know about the latest goings on in world news today, there won't be any tension between a USA and Russia match because the Cold War is over.
