Channel 7's lead in to a match:
Return from an ad break, 10 second pointless interview with the two players, players are introduced onto the court, ad break. They come back, funnily enough just commence their warm up (gee, must have sat in their chaires for a while), hit for a few minutes and then we have yet another ad break.
Between Griggs stuffing up every players name, the cringeworthy interviews, the commentators, all the ads, is this the worst tennis coverage in the world?
9 did a pretty good job when they deceived us at Wimbledon this year pretending matches were live when they clearly were not. So much so that media watch called them out.
Learnings from this...9 and 7 suck and is why I will continually fork out for Foxtel.

Home and Away returns on the 25th, so unless second week night sessions are going to start at 7:30pm everyone will be getting the shaft regardless of time zone.

did 7 show the charity day event at all. geez those events are good fun to watch
No Foxtel coverage is seriously disappointing. So often the night match on MCA was preferable to channel 7's feature match. And on the days I went to the tennis, you could go home at night and be guaranteed a replay of the best match you saw that day. So now we have no coverage of the outside courts during the day, and no overnight replays of other matches. This is a big loss to TV viewers.
Something tells me by the end of this tournament, I will be so sick of hearing about Courtney Cox's new TV show that I wouldn't watch it for a million dollars.

Agree with everything in this post. Turned on the TV this morning to check what Fox Sport channel will be showing games and was flabbergasted to find none!
i reckon it's will all comeback to 7 losing that appeal against suing everyone under the sun for their own moronic ways. that's why i reckon foxtel aren't covering the aus open. 7 won't alow them to show the outside courts this year

This is why we need a second channel. I have no desire to watch Clijsters romp it home when I could be watching something like Stepanek/Karlovic (or apparently not, considering the stupid organisers put it on a non-TV court anyway).
