Anyone know why they are advertising both Clijsters and Nadal for tomorrow night's session? According to the AO website, both play at the same time on different courts. Surely 7 won't show one match live and the other delayed? Surely?

Channel 7 really know how to fudge up there coverage of sport!! I don't understand why they are not utilising the second digital channel to show more tennis. Most annoying is the matches on in the afternoon that are still going, and then they have to cut away to the news - like Hewitt's last night.

Wish Fox Sports showed matches as they did last year, was good to see some doubles matches. And don't have to deal with Cougar Town and MKR f'in adverts.

Umm, where the **** is the Roddick/Lopez match.

No women's match apart from a good matchup like Dementieva/Henin should take precedent over a good mens match.

Looks like Lopez will take the first set too, could be in for a long one, will have to find a stream now.

Since Seven like to show whole matches of any match they start, they prefer to play womens tennis matches as they are generally shorter when possible.

I agree, they should show Roddick. They said at the start of the day, it was one of their features matches, they should try and stick to what they said. Plus it is time we have a mens match, and Roddick is always good fun.

Had to laugh at the cluelessness of Nicole Bradtke (and Todd Woodbridge for that matter) a few minutes ago.

She admits on air (as part of a conversation in which Woodbridge is raving about her being the coach of Australia's Fed Cup team) that she has absolutely no idea who "the lady" sitting in the German player's box is.

Um Nicole: even a tennis ignoramus like me knows it's Andrea Petkovic - one of Germany's best young players who rose several hundred places in the world rankings last year. Even for those who were under a rock and didn't hear of her at all last year, someone who is supposedly an expert on women's tennis should have recognised her quite easily given she reached the semi finals of the televised tournament in Brisbane a week or two ago, losing to Clijsters after quite a tough struggle.

I wonder if Australia's Fed Cup coach has actually watched much women's tennis lately.

Probably look back at their last monster encounter.... completely neglecting their recent match in Sydney (i know 5 sets is a different story). It's funny hyping it up last night Griggs over stated the amount of times they have played at grand slam level..... epic fail right there.

Takes up about half an hour. Tennis anyone?

When I turn over to Sports Tonight to see all the scores, it reminds you how little actual tennis matches you see on 7. The fact Foxtel can't broadcast other matches is pathetic (and I don't even have Fox!)

When you think about it though, 7 give us far more coverage than any other FTA network would. There's no way Ch9 or 10 would give up their shows to show us over 12 hours a day of tennis.

Um no Channel 10 would be a much better broadcaster.

Well if free-to-air didnt exist then at least we would be more likely to get good coverage of sports events. I laugh at the fact that Channel 7 paid $750 million for AFL rights and they dont show any games live!!

For the Aus open they have bought the rights to every single match and they show about 3% of the matches. We miss so many of the good mens matches.
