I am sure it has been mentioned already but why in this day and age are we putting up with being on a half hour delay in SA? Do channel 7 not understand the internet? I'm not that interested in the tennis and if you aren't going to show it live, I can go and find out the score and if it's a close game I might watch still but if it's a blow out I am watching something else.

Comment there by Bruce that really typefies what I hate about the non-specialist commentator. Hewitt talks about how Roddick has one of the most reliable second serves in the game. Roddick misses his first serve. Bruce chimes in with "well, it's about to be tested again". No shit, Sherlock.
WHY? Why do he and Sandy make these asinine, uninformative comments constantly? What's wrong with just having dead air as we wait for the second serve? Does he just like the sound of his own voice?
I know this is probably a disproportionate response to this instance but it's been driving me batty all week.

I think it's because they feel the pressure to contribute. They are fully aware their knowledge/insight is not up to scratch and therefore think they have to compensate by chiming in with all their shit little remarks.
With Sandy Roberts it's even more ridiculous. If you really listen hard to him all you get is 'well it's Wawrinka up two sets to one here, and he's got the break in the third, and serving to consolidate.... andddd he gets the forehand winner and it's now 15-0.' Then maybe a quote of how many forehand winners he's had for the day compared to his opponent. And then the cycle begins again. I could ****ing do that shit Sandy.

Its ridiculous, to miss whole games is just unforgiveable. At least they're using 7Two properly though. More than we got last year at least.
Did anyone see when they were giving predictions for the mens final, and Molik picked Verdasco (obviously before he lost) but for obvious reasons. Jim's comment about her salivating over him when she is getting arried soon was pretty funny.
Fox sports seem to have no ads/missed points and im sure they would happily take the coverage rights from 7 if given the opportunity, ahhh I guess we can only dream. Its a simple case of give the viewers decent coverage or give someone else a go. Missing the first game of the 5th set of the soderling match was disgraceful especially to plug the "aussie" kim match. Oh and home and away starts again tonight so us Adelaide viewers will now be on a 1hr delay, it just gets better......

I don't mind him but hate commentators telling us what players should have done all the time. Players make mistakes, they aren't human and they know what they are doing wrong. Commentators just sit up there and make it sound so easy.
Listening to Hewitt, Bruce and all the other 7 duds - they are as irratating as each other (except for Courier).
