I don't mind it at all . . . he's not a special comments dude who is there to provide insight into strategy or tactics, etc. Bruce's job is just to keep the commentary humming along and bringing the other two into it.

I think it is a great combo when you have Courier, Hewitt and Bruce in the commentary box. I don't think it is so good having only Jim and Bruce.

Wouldn't mind if 7 showed some doubles instead of constant replays of Fed and Kim.
The other two aren't stupid, they can interact with each other fine without Bruce or Sandy's inane nothing-comments. They just seem totally superfluous. Bruce's stats are good but they could just be done by a researcher and handed to one of the experts, he doesn't need to be behind the mic.

give the pay television first dibs in wa, qld and sa! So channel 7 doesnt abuse its right by delaying the coverage by whatever amount it is in the other states outside nsw, tas, act and vic

channel 7 treat the viewers like idiots. today was the first time i watched their coverage for over an hour ( foxtel before that ) and they consistently miss the first points of a game after the ad break. you can put up with it if its a one off but it happens every time and they consistently return to the action just as the next point starts which leads me to believe its done on purpose and the ****wits in charge have said " no body cares about the first point of the games just the end, break points, game points etc, why not squeeze another shitty ad about our all new thursday night craparama line up"

Last night they were talking about those fan questions they have, which was "the greatest match ever played at Melbourne Park". One girl sent a msg saying the Rafa Roger 09 final, I was there. Griggs the dumbarse goes "actually that was a SF". WTF it was only two years ago, and I think that person who sent the msg would know if they attended a final or not! Not to mention they were the 1 and 2 seeds so couldn't possibly face off in a semi. Dumb dumb dumb.
Also agree with sentiments re "Aussie Kim". Its so embarassing, ch 7 are just embarassing the lot of us. Absolute bullshit. They're also trying to hang off hotdog's coach too.

Not sure why you'd get riled up over that. In this instance, Roddick's 2nd serve was about to be tested again, as Bruce mentioned...what's wrong with that?
Apart from missing the beginning of some games due to ad breaks, i enjoy 7's coverage.
Courier gives great insight into the game. As do Woodbridge & Fitzgerald. Sandy Roberts and Bruce are solid 'anchormen' if you will, who clearly love the game and love calling it. They're not meant to give the deep insights into the game incase you didn't know (which it seems an awful lot of people don't) While Hewitt was a revelation in the box, definite future for him there.
Anyway, it wouldn't matter which station did it, or how they did it. There's ALWAYS going to be people who get up on their high horse and say this should be done better, and that was done poorly. Personally i just love watching tennis, and think 7 do a fairly goopd job
