Will still be no consequences. Just lie after lie and a slap on the wrist or a backroom deal done
well. i think the maniac will have pissed off so many of the populace with his draconian measures, combined with the immensity of the adverse effect the economic ones will have on the hip pocket, there will be sufficient unrest to facilitate payback. there are signs already.

I understand the people have the will but does Congress and the Senate?

the one thing the fascism wrought by the maniac might do is force this weak outfit to move to a stronger more progressive leadership.

"As for Democratic leadership, I was absolutely not surprised to note they voted with Republicans in yet another example of capitulation at a time when nothing but strength of purpose is demanded. They vote to support the legacy of Charlie Kirk while finding themselves unable to endorse their own selected candidate for New York Mayor. The leadership of the party is simply failing to lead. They remain paralysed with fear at not appearing right-wing enough, and it drives me insane. They voted in support of a Stochastic terrorist. Just for clarification, let me give you the definition:"

A person who engages in the] repeated use of hostile, dehumanizing, or vilifying language by an influential figure or public figure against a person or group, which statistically increases the likelihood of unpredictable acts of violence by followers, though no explicit instruction to commit a violent act is given"

the very reason the dems need progressive leadership.

"The reality is clear: Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House. They alone decide when and how the government is funded. Democrats have absolutely no control over federal spending right now. Yet instead of hammering that truth, Democratic leaders are sending letters, asking to meet with Donald Trump, and behaving as if they share the wheel."

The Democratic leaders in theory are Hakeem Jeffries and Schumer as House and Senate minority leaders.

But Bernie and AOC are the real leaders at the moment, saying what needs to be said. Newsom also.

I don't think the gerrymandering will get the job done, but I expect to see some pretty extreme stuff when the elections become closer. There'll be egregious ballot games like taking them out of Democratic areas and stuffing them into GOP areas. If all things were equal, the GOP would lose seats easily, but who knows how many tricks they have up their sleeve (and by tricks, I mean constitutional violations).

They can't/won't allow the Congress to be lost. It'll be people like AOC and Bernie who stop it. Not Jeffries and Schumer.

except the true left understands that inequality drives those two things and seeks change.
