If Apache Cat were yours, would you keep him to 1100 - 1400 meter races on the fresh side ?
I reckon he could turn out to be one of our all time great sprinters. Any thoughts ?

I was at Caulfield when he won first up last year and said to somebody that I don't think I have ever seen a horse dominate a sprint race like he did that day - and this was with him carrying 60kg from memory. Based on that, I quite gladly snapped up the $3.20 last week.

If he was mine (can only wish) I would keep him to sprinting and on the fresh side as Northalives alluded to. He proved last year that he struggles against the best over a mile but when he is fresh he is damn near untouchable over a sprint trip.

Can just see that big white face bolting away down the straight at Royal Ascot next year in a first up raid against the Poms.

I like my beavers nice and trim too, adds to every woman's personality who sports them i reckon.

The big bucks dont seem to be in sprinting..I think they are just gunna keep persisting and trying to find that edge to get up from 1600m to 2000m limit

The ease with which it knocked off some handyish sprinters though was embarassing

I thought the same thing since i saw him win forst up last preparation by about 4 lengths with 60kg (as the other dude mentioned). Although the money isn't as good in sprint races as it is in distance races you get more money from winning a 1200m race than running 5th in a 1600m race... If i owned him i'd be running him in the Manikato Stakes for sure...
