I'm guessing he's had Posterior Cruciate surgery, after an initial misdiagnosis or a secondary injury during rehab;on top full ACL reconstruction prior to us drafting him.
He's a very big man so it's obviously a real concern, however prior to him going down, the club's cognoscenti were big raps for his game, including brains, courage and running power.
Hopefully the knees get healthy and we get to see what we've got on our hands.
I'm optimistic and of course hopeful.

Taberner is quite possibly the most timid man to play for Fremantle since Jacquie Hannath.
I reckon if you actually ran into big Jack face to face you would crap yourself

Can I lock in 4 Eddie:

Why the **** do we need to even have a thread about Apeness. We should have bloody Hogan if Ross/Bond/Lloyd knew what the **** they are doing. Bloody hell, you've seen that picture with him in a Freo scarf. He's half way here. It's obvious - we trade Suban, Mzungu, Clarke, Paul Hasleby, and Clinton Wolf for Hogan FFS, then we don't need to rely on a player who can't even get on the park at WAFL level.

Plus we know that it's Lyon's game plan that caused Apeness' injury - having fallen awkwardly when he fell asleep waiting for the ball in the fwd line during training drills. When is Ross going to wake up and get with the times ... you've got to kick it forward FFS!!!

I'm sick of it!!!!

See this is the kind of quality melt I was hoping for. Unfortunately knowing it isn't real robs it of real humour.

apparentlydead you and that bloody well-conceived thread of yours have killed that possibility.

Reply 6: Whenever I hear his name I am reminded of the urban legend involving Madame de Gaulle.

At an overseas state function following President Charles de Gaulle’s retirement, Madame de Gaulle is asked what she wants most in retirement. “A penis” is her answer. General de Gaulle leans over and says to her…”my dear in zis country, zat word is pronounced ‘appiness”.

Rate his natural game far more than Taberner's, and I like the natural aggression he's shown in the couple of games he's managed. If it's him and Taberner ripe and ready round one, there is absolutely no question who I'd go with.

Reply #69, (just cos it's my favourite number).

Title: Keeping an eye on our junior resident shit stirrer, who I have a bit of a soft spot for because he writes quite well, but doesn't quite have the grasp of the art yet.

Way to contradict yourself from your definitive statements in the other thread...I thought we only had Taberner, we'll all be rooned and Bond deserves a nasty case of syphilis?

5/10 effort, go give yourself an uppercut and may Pav have mercy on your soul.

Oh Hannath !?

Just thought I'd mention the bloke we drafted after Cam hopefully is ready to go pre-season, there is no reason this guy cannot claim a spot, he's rated as a strong contested mark and probably a bit of back-up ruck so it shouldn't be doom and gloom. Sure he doesn't have the cool nickname and long flowing mane *maybe he's been growing the locks?

Also, Taberner needs to work on finger elongation techniques to increase the dukes, and will be stronger from another off-season plus there is A.Pearce. You only need one bloke to stand up, lets just back the guys in and also assume we can do a West Coast 2006 and just have the most outstanding goal kicking midfield going.......sans goldfish eating and suspect off-field behaviour
Interesting to notice that with Ben Brown from North Melbourne- Apeness is the same height and weight.
Brown has been impressive as the 2nd/3rd tall forward and can mark well. Kicked 32 goals in 2015. If Apeness can get the body right and lead well, can be similar to Brown around the ground.

didnt he only play 3 games for Peel last season ?
i think we are dreaming if we think hes going to play any sort of significant role in 2016
Morabito is more of a chance to line up than him
