Do people reckon it's fair to say that tonights match is well and truly the defining match of our season.

WIN and we go 2 games ahead of Collingwood at the foot of the table. Have a 3 - 6 record and our hopes of a 6-6 record at half way are still alive as are our finals aspirations.

LOSE and we will be at the very bottom of the ladder. Collingwood always seem to have a canny knack of turning it on against our boys. Let's hope tonight is not the night.

I agree with many people's theories that we cannot be a successful football team while we don't have Matthew Bode in the starting 18. Ayres clearly had a good old rocket put up his arse by the AFC board last night, but the changes he's made could have disastorous impacts on tonights match.

Ben Hart in, after not playing a game since the semi final last season. Will be majorly underdone. Wouldn't be expecting a BOG performance from him tonight.

Hayden Skipworth. Hopefully he will be able to prove himself, definitely isnt' going to take the game by the scruff of the neck.

Michael Doughty. FRINGE PLAYER. Good skills and sense, but once again will only be a support player for the senior players.

Scott Welsh. We haven't seen the best of this bloke since VS Essendon last season. Hopefully he can turn it on tonight.

Robert Shirley. I honestly don't believe is up to AFL standard but what the hey why not give him another go, compared with some like Matthew Bode who is majorly out of favour but an excellent player.

The players we've brought in are definitely going to have to be guided and fed the ball pretty well by our senior players Roo, Carey, McLeod etc.

Personally I reckon we are on a hiding to nothing tonight and the only thing that will stop us from losing the game, is the fact that Collingwood dno't want to move from the bottom of the ladder and lose priority draft picks.

After the Showdown win I said we have to be at least 6-6 at the break if we are to make the 8. Lose tonight and there is no way we will make the finals.

The line up selected strikes me as the one where you don't want to really win. Collingwood are stacked with talls yet we go small. Having a tall side surrounder by quick runners is an advantage at Telstra Dome.

Welshy is seriously struggling. Hart is extremely underdone. As is the case with players in Hart's situation, they often play well in their 1st game back but then go missing for extended periods.

Not overly confident about tonight. We are going in with the same gameplan we did against Port. Lets just hope we are as switched on as we were in showdowns and we execute the plan as well as we did. Anything less than that is a Pies win.

Its a disgrace that cute little Bodey seems to be the first on the chopping block each week. He is one player that goes in hard, never gives up and will always give you an honest contest. Not like some of the players that managed to stay in the team this week.

I liked your pre-game analysis, which I thought reflected a side tht is rebuilding. That means we are looking at all our juniors and fringe players for list assessment. Also as we discussed, who else was there to play that was fit, and in any kind of form?

Your after game assessment though was critical of a performance, that all the indicators showed was going to happen. Kids and second stringers, start of full of steam, then usually fade as the game progress's, unless senior players are carrying the load.
Unfortunately our senior players are not KPP, and its the lack of good KPP that normally is the difference in these games, as it was last night.
