If Steven Trigg or Rob Chapman have a set of Rundal Mall Balls, they will make a change tonight.

The time has come for a very quick change. For the rest of the season, David Noble needs to be the caretaker coach and then the search should be on.

I tend to agree.
Noble or Jonas til end of yr.

I don't care if Craigy coaches out the season

I just want the club to come out and say that we are starting the process NOW for find a new coach for 2012

This

I personally think he knows his fate. But they are not telling us.

Peter Jonas is the one guy on our Payroll I sould be happy getting the main job.

Not a fan of caretaker coaches - and it's not as though results matter at this stage of the game. Rather than appointing a caretaker coach and developing an emotional connection between him and the fans, we should be spending our time looking for Craig's replacement to take over at the end of the minor round.

Agreed.

Craig has always said he would walk away when it was time for him to do so.

The Board should instruct Triggy to whisper in Craigy's ear that its time for him to announce that he won't be coaching the Crows next year.

Craigy can then see the year out with dignity and we can start searching the land for the best coach available rather than digging into the slops at the end of the year.

But no caretaker coach, thanks.

But judging on his comments, this doesn't look likely

Yep, this is the way to go.

It has to be done.

I would rather the powers that be appoint Nathan Basset.

The Hound Dog should be fed this fodder of a team at this very damn instant, and regurgitate a premiership winning team in his likeness.

this is absolute crap. as far as we know this could've happened ten rounds ago. every other coach who doesn't know when his time is up and is sacked by the board goes through the humiliation. i'd bet most crows supporters doubt very much that williams resigned without having been told he'd be sacked last year. so, tell me, what has neil craig done to be treated differently to every other sacked coach in the history of the game. he's no a $40,000 admin assistant. he took a high-profile job with a high-paying wage. he can suck it up.

The biggest lie in modern day sport. When will it be time Neil?

As much as I would love a Craig sacking announcement... - I'm not too fussed if he sees the year out but it is imperative that the club announce that he will not be coaching next year and start finding a new coach now.

My thoughts as caretaker was Jonas a couple weeks ago. The AFC seem to have good quality people like Jonas, Noble, Stewart and Rendell, but they are in admin/recruiting.

Mathews said last night it is extremely rare for a Coach to know when the right time is to walk

I am a massive CDFC supporter / member and was very close to the club when Jonas delivered our first premiership........

Yes Peter is a Premiership coach and how how stupid this may sound, I don't share the same amount of confidence in Peter as a Senior Coach

Yeah, If Jonas wanted to be a senior coach and anyone thought he could do it he would be doing it.

I actually believe Alan Stewart is a better choice for care-taker

let me clarify

when Jonas took over the coaching reigns at Centrals he really did not bring to the role any new IP or Ideas, it was just a matter of continuing with Stewart's blueprint

I would also be confident in saying that most people close to the club at the time would recognise that the playing group was pretty much "self-coached" and that Danny Hulm was very much hands on as a Captain and had a huge say in what happened at training and on match day.....

not all premiership coaches are great coaches and not all great coaches win premierships

Yeah true Wood Duck. Is that why he moved into the role he is now?

given our questionable "player development" and lack of improvement in our goal kicking and general kicking I would also suggest that Joans's role should come under review

I would love to get a Ricky MacGowan at the AFC in a player developement role
