perhaps the first time in history that a microsoft console has broken the 20000 weekly barrier. Looks like Tales of Vesperia has got some hardcore jrpg-ers bloods boiling.

what do you expect ppl to do at work........ actual work?

but seriously..... this is one of the most interesting console wars in history.... perhaps since Snes v Genesis or the start of the PS1 dominance.

the last one was interesting until Sega spectacularly went belly up and then it was total Sony World Domination for the next five years.

This time round we have Nintendo trending towards greater than Sony World domination in hardware sales.......but because Software publishers bet HD...... the Wii doesn't have the AAA games library to back up their market share and its really pretty sad to be a Wii owner for the second half of 2008 looking at the release dates of games.

And that is the state of the console war atm.

HD consoles and big publishers with the overall superior games library but not making much money on one side....

and the Wii who has a solid library of first party games and a few third party gems but a whole load of shit blocking the view with Nintendo virtually printing their own currency.

it is unprecedented in the history of videogames and it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next 18 months........ which could really set up what happens when the next generation of consoles are released in a few years.
