All three are very good.
To go AFL you need something pretty special though.
There were some awesome players in the APS and AGS that didn't get picked up last year.

Rockerfeller - GC
Sherwen - SC
Williams - PEGS

I don't think the 3 you mentioned are quite as good as those ones.

Pat Armstrong is a star, son of Barry Armstrong and he is a big chance to go father son. he has been best on ground 3 of the last 4 weeks for xavier bigger chance to go than Sanfilipo

yeah but sunberg does have that extra special qualties around goals, and if u watched the xavier cgs game he was clearly a much better player than sanfilipo which u have said could be drafted. And hill with his athletic ability, height, leap, pace and good footy brain makes hijm specail?

I know Rockerfeller trained with the Bulldogs and i think he is playing VFL at the moment.
By the way where do you get your facts and stats from, you seem to know a lot about all teams in the APS

Don't think u can judge him better from one game. Sanfillipo has 65 cm vertical leap, bench presses 3 sets of 90 (last time i checked) and actually sent several opponents into the burns victim ward due to his blistering speed and ability to leave people in his fiery wake. Sunberg (who is now called sunburnt after lining up on Sanfillipo) is more flashy then Sanfillipo, but Sanfillipo was tagged for the most part of the game.

Turn it up! I think Skidmore is a bigger chance to go number 1 then armstrong is to makes the rooklie list. He shoudn't be placed in the same bracket as Sanfillipo, but he is far better looking and macks at least 12 minks per week (whereas criso just macks some of his left overs).

does all that stuff matter. sunberg was much better on the day and was also tagged. sanfilipo is not that good. yamen is better than him aswell. davo hasnt even seen sunberg or caulfield play so he has no idea yet

Correction - I was at the Wesley prakky at the start of the year and saw two Caulfield games last year when Rennie was up for potential draft. Don't tell me what I have and havn't done.

I just didn't see the CGS v XC match. I do rate Sundberg, but he is not in the top dozen players in the APS (which is about how many get drafted each year at most)

No doubt the talent pool in the APS is very good atm, but we must remember with clubs looking interstate and there being more comps than just the APS it is only likely for a handfull of players to be drafted each year.

No doubt Haileybury will have a few nice pick ups with the likes of:
Lynch
Martin
Smith
Vickery
Nicolopulus

but having this many "stars" in the team may work against them...

N.Whinne
Sanfillipo
S.Lees
B. Kennedy
S.O'S
Daniher
Hannabury
Harangozo
& Pasha (cant spell his last name)

are all potential XC drafties from 07-09...

The question is...is it better 2 b a gun in a bad team or is it betta 2 be one of the many guns in a team (eg. xav's midfield...how do you choose between them???)

DAVO #5- you are the best person to ask about this.... your thoughts please!

He was tagged for 5 mins until his tagger was sent off. Probs right "better on the day", not better full stop. Even judd has shit games. Yaman plays different possie, and when Sanfillipo played forward pocket for 2 quarters injured he kicked 4 against scotch, whereas Yaman kicked 7 for the entire game in perfect health. 3 votes- this argument.

Re: the Quiet Achiever

I don't think it matters too much where they play.
The names you mentioned for Haileybury play TAC cup - they will get seen there.

A number of players at other schools - eg Rioli from Scotch, Hannebery/Thomas/Armstrong from Xavier opted not to play TAC cup, yet they would have obviously made squads. Some people either love to play for their school that much or are trying to conserve themselves somewhat.

There is big exposure to recruiters at schools like Scotch and Xavier because some of the recruiters went to these schools (like me) or there are plenty of parents connected with AFL clubs that can alert them to certain players.

ie - at the SC v XC game there were the following parents there:

Barry Armstrong (Carl)
Terry Daniher (Ess)
Grant Thomas (do I put StK?)
John Kennedy (Haw)
Renato Serafini (Fitz)
Matthew Hannebery (Foots)
Tony Sanfillipo (Fitz)
Neal Daniher (Melb)
Ian Aitken (Carl)

Now does everyone see why some players don't even bother with TAC cup? They don't need to - one phone call and a recruiter is down there in an instant.

You just compared Sanfillipo to Judd... from what I saw Sanfillipo was merely a Mark Bolton...

hahaha Im sure he'd be happy to be a Mark Bolton! Sanfillipo does like to think his judd, and his convinced himself he can run the 100 in about 3 seconds. More like 7.

Westcoast recruiter came down to St.Kevins training to have a look at a few players tonight...
