wouldnt say a big name player, got roughly 0 disposals for the whole game. Maybe starred in the first game for Brighton, but they have only played s**t teams. He had a cry about the injury to. Made my weekend

You can understand him being pretty upset about the injury. It means he misses the U/16 Metro carnival, as well as whatever basketball commitments he had over the next ten weeks. And its normal that he has an off game when you consider he has the oppositions best defender on him every week as a year 10. If Cachia had the oppositions best tagger following him every match he'd have quiet ones too.

wouldnt matter, even if watts didnt have the best defender he still wouldnt get that much of the ball. He is tall and has got a good pair of hands, thats not gonna get you the ball in APS 1sts (maybe against sh*t teams ie. wesley :p ). Cachia wouldnt get tagged cause there arent that many taggers to go around, there would be midfielders tagged before cachia...probably why he is currently sitting down at full forward.

davo (or any1 else) what do u think of anyone from the brighton or skevs team of getting drafted? surely if they get nobody to get drafted it would be amazing and a great overall team performance and depth shown...because usually the top few schools each year have at least 1 draftee.

lol, what gets you the ball then? I was under the impression thats what players like Santili, Sandilands and Hill had going for them?

He doesnt get the best tagger. He got r*ped by Glen Chivers a CHB. That isnt being tagged, thats a match up. Watts hardly got a touch, and Chivers had about 20. Stop whinging all you BGS boys, you lost... deal with it.

Both teams will have players drafted, althoug it may not be this year. Guys like Watts, Jakobi, Jacobs, Cachia, Griffiths and Castrium would all look likely to be picked up but there all year 9 and 10s. Henderson and Rioli are the two guaranteed picks in the aps this year, and then theres some guys from Caulfield and Xavier who are most likely after those two. Don't think any of the Haileybury boys are eligible in 07.

agreed he got owned by a super starr with a future in footy

they have a bit of drive and passion. they arent afraid to go in and get the ball once its fallen to the ground. they have great skills too. all watts needs against him is some1 with a good jump and who can spoil...if you have a guy who can do that put him on watts and he wont get a touch

but theres nothing you can do to stop the other three i mentioned?? there not perfect footballers they have strong and weaker attributes.

I don't know alot about APS football, but I'm developing an interest for it. My little brother has a few good mates who play at Wesley and reckons Croft, Sands, Hall and Chaplin-Burch are all quality units with Croft and Sands chances for AFL.

Living in St Kilda, I live very closely to Wesley and will try and go see a few of their matches this year.
Sands no chance

Chaplin Birch is playing well - don't know a great deal about him not being on the TAC cup circuit. How old is he?

My advice is don't bother. They are a piece of shight team. But i do suggest u watch Xavier play them- because that will ultimately determine if Xavier will be APS premiers/ shared premiers or some other team (that is if they beat St Kevs and some other dud teams).

this years draft
scotch: cyril rioli and pirisi
haileybury: (all year 12s on scholarships)
caulfield: sandilands and zengstock
brighton: maybe sargent pickering maybe cannon
xav: kennedy
geelong: henderson
skevs: none this year i think
carey: lisle
melbourne: the rednut

lets get realistic here. last year was a freak year of the aps and there is no way near the afl quality players this year. this years draft should have only handful of hopefuls, they are:

scotch: cyril rioli, hill
xavier: sanfillipo
geelong college: henderson

next year on the other hand will have a lot more hopefuls.

one thing about this years comp is unlike previous years u could throw a rug over the quality sides unlike the 1-3 quality sides usually produced each year.

Are you serious mate, hardly any of these guys will make the draft.

Scotch - Rioli a definate, Parisi has no chance at all of being drafted
Haileybury - None will get drafted, no good year 12s, and Lynch and Vickery are ineligible
Caulfield - Sandilands and Sengstock are question marks
Brighton - Won't have anyone drafted this year. Jakobi, Watts and Jacobs will be drafted but not for two/three years.
Xavier - Kennedy will probably get father son pick, maybe Sanfillipo
Geelong College - Henderson a definate
Skevs - None
Carey - None
Melbourne - None
Wesley - None
Geelong Grammar - Maybe O'keefe, don't know when he's eligible

Wesley none? Harry Croft mate.
What more do Sandilands and Sengstock have to do to not be question marked?

Never heard of Harry Croft, who is he? is he tac listed?

As for Sandilands and Sengstock, I think they are two great players who are in good form, I just wouldn't say they've gauranteed there chances of being picked up yet. Not quiet in the same bracket as Henderson and Rioli who are on ais scholarships.

I think a lot of people in the aps overate some of the players. They are very good but you have to remember that there's a lot of other guys running round in the tac, and in other states, that are of similar ability. Michael Rockfellar is a perfect example.

Oackliegh, Vic Metro Sqaud. Enough said

Kennedy won't go this year, he's only year 11... The only genuine chance from Xavier this year is Christian Sanfilippo and he is still a fair long shot. Nick Wynne is an outsider but doesn't have any qualities that really stand out from any other very good Key forward in the TAC cup.

I think a few of you will get reality checks, there are some amazing footballers out there that live in other states or go to other schools... Sandilands and Henderson and Rioli will all go. But after that, I have my doubts on seeing more than 2 outsiders go in the National draft and maybe 1 to 3 rookies...

Easton Wood is a freak, he could definitely play AFL plays for Geelong Grammar

i dont know how he doesnt get recognition. ive watched him on many occassions and most times his been the best player on the turf by a mile

His a classy midfielder, 186cm great leap, exceptional skill and pace

Seen Xavier Ellis play huge comment to make but id say Easton is a far better footballer alot more athletic attributes to offer an AFL team. what do GGS boys think ?? his your best footballer by far, rate him much higher then O keefe
