It's about quality not quantity mate.
It is all about quality mate, are you suggesting players like C Scott, B Scott, J Mahoney, S Powell, R O'Keefe and L Penny are not qaulity?? They would all make most AFL sides.
Anyway old argument, every team this week playing full strength?? already heard a few teams are resting better players? signs of weakness early on?

This thread exemplifies private school boy behaviour at its best! All talk regarding the forthcoming APS Season, and when the real stuff starts, we see everyone retreating nice and quickly. Well, listen my friends, it is clear you can all talk the talk, but the real question is whether you can walk the walk!
The scholarships and big names have proven to be significant aspects of this debate. According to the APS guidelines, it seems clearly evident that a few of the schools are struggling with their comprehension skills. (Look towards the honchos out at Caulfield and Haileybury). It seems utterly ludicrous that a team filled with non-scholarship players, will match one having 22 blokes possessing a scholarship - a prime example of a team of champions beating a champion team.
Now, the coaches play a significant role in a school football team. While some have the top notch coaches, others fail to meet the requirement if they are looking for success in the APS competition. We can all pay out the Scotchies, however they play with the endeavour that their school colours signify. Perhaps the coaching department lacks, but they show grit and determination. Never let it be seen to be paying out a Scotch boy unless you are prepared to face them later and be found wanting.
This goes for numerous other schools too, except I feel Scotch has been criticised too severely here.
All you boys posting here attend the best of the best as far as schools go. The APS is a prestigious group of schools, and I don't doubt that you all show great passion for your respective schools. However, I must suggest that you pull your heads out, stop doing all your talking and let the real stuff happen on the field, for it is only then once you have held the trophy aloft that you have won bragging rights, and yes you can proudly say: "I have talked the talk, but also WALKED the WALK!" That is a sign of true character and what we aim to be in an APS sports team. Football mirrors life, so don't buggarise around with threads like these ones, until you're prepared to back up you findings with hard evidence.

Well wrote 'trizzles', in this thread all I have seen is big shots talking about there chances for the premierships, most of the APS players play like Seth Cohen would if he played NFL. 'Softc*cks', and I will keep on re-iterating the word... AND THERES ONLY ONE CHRIS JUDD

Bloody private school ********s. Who cares who wins? Scotch dont have a good coach anyway... and any useless prick can get a game in most teams... Also Assumption would knock off any team in the APS. All I hear all you cry babies talking about scholarships this and other crap. Face it, private school boy ****************'s, ain't some term used as a joke, it's serious! That what the competition is. And stop talking about player's chances of being drafted, every year there are 4 or 5 at the most that get drafted to the AFL, so stop these wild suggestions.
Xavier beat Assumption last year moron, and there has been some good battles over the last 15 or so years, with I think Xavier taking the honours head to head. So get off you're high horse.

MILNEDOG = P I S S W E A K

Mate you don't even deserve to be representing an APS school or have come from one! Scotchie ****ter, hey. I have more character than you ever will and learnt a lot about one thing playing a 1st sport - RESPECT! You've got none of it. I have respect for every single person who pulls on an APS 1st guernesy (in any sport). However, they must wear it with pride and dignity. You, my friend, are a lost cause and one that deserves to be be cleaned up nicely during any season.
I feel sorry for the blokes in your team and your school, because you are a prime example of an ignorant, loser. All the best, however what goes around comes around.

If I am a Scotchie ****ter, and proud to be one, trust me I have plenty of adjectives to describe you. Oh, and with a character like that of yours, who would waste their time writing them.

And if you have left school, then you must be a fine citizen. An arrogant, conceited individual, who I'm sure Xavier is not proud to have bred.

This is the response I would expect from a scotchie. Chin up mate.
You had everyone at MILNEDOG = P I S S W E AK, there was no way I can come back after that.
Pure class.

Especially after your comeback before, mate. Calling me a "Scotchie ****ter" had, I can tell you, no effect. If you are going to have a go at my response, then do it, but don't expect me to pay any attention unless you have something sensible to say. I am stating things as I see them, and don't think I did anything to deserve the crap you dealt out - it was crap that you wasted your time writing.
My chin is up nice and high, thank you very much. I just want stop people talking crap in this thread and let the real talking happen on the field.
If you have an unnecessary swipe, so too will I! Now you know what it's like to be on the end of a real knock  No effect. So there is no need for unnecessary comment.
Oh and I certainly don't hope you are making any real judgements about the action on the field that you want me to treat seriously, if what I hear is true....you were the water boy?

Oi, Milnedog... leave 'trizzles' alone... he might be a proud Scotch Collegian... but doesn't need some arrogant idiot, which ideolises a little rat called Stephen Milne attemptin to abuse him.... and stop wasting ur time on this site, you must obviously have no life and just uses this chat room to promote your school. So grow up, and get a kick.

Haha so true. He didn't even play 1sts either, he was the stats man. I think it's time he moved on from Xavier...

Sound familiar? Maybe we should have a look at our own backyard before wasting time in writing an essay like the post you just wrote

The essay had nothing to do with you or your smart mouth, big fella. If you don't like it, you should take some advice from it, pull your own head in and shut the hell up!
Now, water boy or not, you opinion is valid provided you don't write crap (like your "scotchie ****ter" comment). You obviously have too much time on your hands. Now, I haven't seen anything to suggest that you will be construcitve, so I'll let you go on your merry way.

Cheers, milnedog! You know it all!

Hhaha, thanks for that Trevor, SO Milnedog's name is Paul.

Well Paul, how many kicks did the 1sts Xavier team average... look just give up on this thing of defending Xavier football, you have left the school and it's time to move on..

So just stop talking up ********... face the reality that only at most 4 kids get drafted to AFL...from the APS comp...

Just sick of people talking up their friends.
Where have I talked up my friends?
Trevor55, is the one that hasn't moved on and is playing in the last Old xavs side
I don't have many friends in the year below, most of them are tools.

The scotchie ****ter comment was out of line and was just a bit of tongue in cheek. I was never the water boy for the first, never had time. Had my own 1st commitments, and sometimes was special comments for the commentary team.

and also.. whats with this chin up?...

is that what u say to ur boyfriend

stupid tryhard prefect
Actually it is a saying that is actually to do with trevor55, since he is up to giving out personal information about myself on a confidential forum I'll dish some stuff about him.

During a half time huddle the coach said to trevor55 (I would not say his real name as I'm not a tool like him) chins up. From there due to his over weight nature people when ever they saw him said chins up.
