Yes Ayce is on a scholarship but it is not for sport. It is an academic one, same with his older brother Reece who attended College in my year.
The bloke who wrote above saying that Geelong College give out sporting scholarships and his mate denied, you must be referring to Geelong Grammar because they do.
The principal at GC is more about academics than sporting success hence why she has cut down on spending costs for sport.
Also Michael Rockefeller a few years back if you remember is a premiership captain at GC in 2006 was on a scholarship too, but that was the Old Collegian one as his old man attended the school, definetly not a sporting one.

Does every old boys son get a scholarship to GC?

people seem to be mentioning the fact that Sibasados dad went to the school and thats the only eason hes there. Did it ever occur to Xavier kids that sibasados dad was also a gun footballer and was on a scholarship?

I know the Sib Family very well. Caseys dad Trevor went to School in Perth.

And he didn't/doesnt play footy.

Casey got a ACADEMIC scholarship @ Xavier on the basis that the principal in his school north of Broome was (at the time) an ex-Xavier teacher. Hence the link with all of Caseys cousins attending Xavier as well, some of which played decent footy, and some of which didnt play at all.

Just because the bloke can play footy well, and HAPPENS to be indigenous, does not mean that he is wins his scholarship on that basis.

Silly Post

Actually mate the best players for MGS were Carter, Vickers-Willis (who killed Lynch), Shaw, Hayes and Lapin. None of whom are on scholarships or indigenous.
agreed, although lynch did play pretty well - stood out for Haileybury after a quiet 1st quarter, but killed it after that. V-W did offer plenty of rebound though and lynch was nowhere near accountable enough.

The indigineous boys are all contributing, just like every member of the team. The real worth of the indigenous boys at MGS was seen a couple of weeks ago during reconciliation week - they delivered a message that no-one else could.
