Go Fielders

You Barely beat Wesley, no where near as good as you were last year stop living the dream 'fielders'

grammar beat hailebury by 3 points in the best match in APS/AFL history
BOG: Carter, Shaw, Tyrone, Lappin, May, Goddard...without two of their best players

xavier 75 beat a brave caulfield 66 today...very close all day against a caulfield with no ziebell or duryea, but the successful return of captain, jono nash

Congratulations Grammar! Almost everyone in the APS will rejoice in your victory over Haileybury. Didn't see it so don't know what claim it has for being the greatest game in APS/AFL history, but the MGS smashing of HC in 2005 (with Hawkins and Ellis) in HC's only loss for that year was probably the best I've seen in the APS.

Actually, strictly speaking the best game in APS history was June 6th 1957 when Wesley beat Xavier at Xavier by a point after trailing by 55 in the last quarter.

What made it the best ever?

the standard of the game was great...the third quarter was some of the best football you could watch...great pack marks, great goals, great smothers...even with haileury hitting the lead in the last quarter with a dodgy goal umpire decision, grammar fought it out

Brighton 11.10. 76 def Carey 8.13 61

Pretty close game much of the day with Brighton just stepping up where it counted and Carey's poor kicking letting them down especially Lisle's 2.6 not helping

all shall rejoice as haileburys premiership hopes are knocked out of their hands and they join the race once again.
