Skevs beat Scotch by 25 points.
Skevs had Mitch, Libba, Rowey, Tunzi, Packwood and Whitty out before the Caulfield game, and suffered two injuries to key players before half time, so that explains last week's poor effort.
Looking forward to hopefully playing MGS this week.

dunno now coz of the draw against caulfield

The fact that Carey is not playing skevs is a disgrace to the st kevins name. St Kevs obviously cant handle the fact that carey r a real threat this year.

na Scard Haileybury only beat Mgs because we had half the team out and you guys only beat us by 3 points how many games have you guys one this session.

Whether you had half your team out is irrelevant in constructing the ladder. The point is you lost. Frankly, you were a badly-coached, disorganised rabble on the day.

I think Haileybury have won 7 and lost 1 (St Kevs).

P.S Do they have spelling lessons at Melbourne Grammar?

Gosh there's a lot of crud spoken on this thread.

As an independent observer, obviously St Kevs is the top side in yr 9 footy, but they are probably not as far in front of the pack as they'd like to believe. Without Jacobs BGS are just a side. H'bury are strong. The sleeper is Wesley, the year 9 results are nothing to go by as they have half the side away at any one time at Clunes. Even so, I hear they still managed to beat Caulfield and Brighton with a virtual B side. IMO, they'd be the team to watch in yr 10 as a possible challenger to Skevvies. Mind you, it has nothing to do with WC getting their act together on football, just a particularly talented group coming thru.

Re who is the best footballer in yr 9 - I rate all of Wallis, Libber, Cunningham & Jacobs, I also rate Gaff from Carey, Croft from WC is a good KPP, Keath from MGS, there's a great crop in year 9. They're all terrific players, no point in trying to argue who is better. They can all do the damage on the day, plus a fair few others.

who do you think are careys best players? and could influence the game so carey do have a chance?

Oh Mr Chapstik you have sparked an interesting topic. Here are some I have gaff first then in no particular order after that. I'd say..
1. Andrew Gaff - average sized, enourmosely skillful midfielder who can mark like a tall forward. Has a huge engine on him, also being the best cross country runner in yr 9 carey.
2. Sam Crocker - excellent midfielder/forward who has arguably the best mark in the team. Has a tendency to be a ball hog.
3. Tom Chapman - Possibly the hardest man in the aps. always goes in head first and usually comes out with the goods. has gotta learn to stop taking people on and getting tackled.
4. Morgan Evans - Gifted in the ways of football but sometimes doesnt use his gift. Expect huge things from this excitement machine.

P.S. some unlucky ones to miss out, Tom Cornelius, Ryan Abotomey, and even Nick Morris
Oh and who could forget Steven Kalimovrakis...nicknamed Scuba for his ability to dive in and come out with nothing. His other nickname is Cack becaus he literally "Cacks his pants" everytime the ball comes near him.

oi mashman yeh i no mgs have a better chance against skevs but if they did verse skevs who do carey verse? whos mgs ment 2 be versing this weeek?

good point Morgo711. it would be great for the Skevs and mgs but it might just leave too much up in the air. although wouldnt mind having anohter crack at brighton and caulfield.
