The Facebook updates are nudging towards nauseating – the response has been huge.

It's a good time to be following this band. For better or worse they're about to get a lot bigger, but who knows how? They're nailing the melodies lately so hopefully they keep that up. Something a little brighter and less sultry-Monkeys would be their biggest challenge since they've never really tried it on... that's what I'm hoping for.

Saw them last night, unreal performance, would have liked a few more of their older songs. Alex's voice was perfect live good energy at the arena, was impressed with my first concert there, sound was great.

Soooo good, Alex Turner has plays the lead singer role to perfection.

One of the most polished live bands I've ever heard, didn't miss a single note the whole show

Shows how good his voice is that he can still nail every note over almost 2 hours even on the last show in a tour. Didn't miss a thing last night.

Anyone going to this tour? I went to the Perth show last night.

Still a great band and because I loved TBHC I enjoyed hearing those songs live although I did notice a lot of people going for piss breaks during she looks like fun.

The set production was a lot better than the last tour too.

Only negative I could say is Alex’s non existent crowd interaction. He barely acknowledged them until the final song

I really enjoyed TBHC but while the setlist remains as stagnant as it has, I won't be going to any more live shows. One thing the band has never been good at is setlists. Switch it up a little! We're sick of Library Pictures, Pretty Visitors etc. And all the AM songs too... why? I can understand it for an American audience who only really discovered the band in 2013, but for Aussies who have been backing the boys since '05/'06... it just seems lazy to not include more variation. There are plenty of older songs that would fit well with the lounge aesthetic of TBHC but it appears they decided to half-arse it instead and just plonk songs in the middle of nowhere.

Yeah, no real impetus for me to spend basically a couple of hundred bucks (because you need lagers at an Arctics show) for that. Them being an arena act now rubs me the wrong way and from all reports, the crowd was pretty much stagnant and bored unless it was Do I Wanna Know, R U Mine, and Dancefloor. Saw some reports on reddit of people being thrown out midway through the show because the 16-year old girls at the front were being hurt. Life lesson: do not go to a rock show with 15,000 people and be at the front unless you can handle it.

I rate the latest album but AM makes me shirk and my skin crawl when I think of it now. Just such corny, utensil rock music that tars the rest of their discography.

Would've been great if they'd have used this tour to change the live vibe. Loungey, lesser played songs, a more chic-y kinda vibe. Songs like Suck It And See, Old Yellow Bricks, Riot Van would have worked well. Amazing that they started the tour with A View From The Afternoon and Hellcat and neither have really been seen since.

Funnily enough they were drinking in Freo yesterday (apprently) and I saw Cam Avery at my local on Friday. Kicking myself I didn't have a few ales last night.

The main thing I don't get is how someone who isn't an especially good musician, and whose songs of his own made no impact because they were crappy. Yet he's singing on Tranquility Base & Casino and playing on their stage, banging Alexa Chung, skiving off models. Weird. Punched above his ability.

As for his ex, I have no doubt he probably stole all her money (dude was smoking tailors ffs) but I also don't really shoot from the hip with this accusatory s**t. He probably was an a-hole and cheated on her but I'm not going to entirely write him off. It was a deleted story with no legality behind it.
