It's a pretty slow news week in footy, so McClure has probably been fed some juicy made up gossip from his mate Kane Cornes and has decided to run with it, which will give SEN something to talk about all day today and then little Kane will sink the boot in further tonight.

I hop Adelaide, their admin, Betts and McGovern deny this and McClure and everybody involved in this slow news week assassination of Adelaide (the same group who decided Essendon was their target of the week about a month ago) is made to look like a complete fool.

so back off everyone as they play the Hawks this weekend and a loss (in what is an "8 point" game) would just about end our finals aspirations.

For what it's worth, an objective observer indeed would say we are in crisis. The unaccountable boys club approach to running this footy club has caught up with us. The wrong people, in the wrong roles, pulling the wrong strings, and not getting sacked. Players playing the wrong way (soft and half-hearted) and not getting dropped. Players in the twos toiling away and losing motivation, knowing they'll never get a game no matter how well they play compared to the chosen gold pass holders.

Last year we made a grand final despite similar question marks. Now those players are getting older, many of our best are injured or playing injured, and they are all mentally shot.

The club is diseased and needs more than a few parts amputated.

The boys club issue is rife in SA as a state, not just at the biggest footy club in town.

Jobs and opportunities in this town are handed out based on what school you went too & how many of the cool kids or their parents you knew there.

Recruitment is one of the most corrupt industries going around, because as always the $ is king.

In what way would Adelaide, Betts and McGovern coming out and denying it make McClure ‘look a complete fool’? Of ******* course they’re going to deny it. They have a vested interest in denying it (unlike McClure, who has no vested interest in the success or failure of the AFC either way). The only way they’re made to look foolish is if there are no trade talks involving McGovern in the offseason and both he and Betts line up for Adelaide in 2019.
