No, getting annihilated in finals is more a North thing.
Now it is an Essendon thing. Including getting embarrassed by North. Your recent record:
- Annihilated by Sydney by 65.
- Annihilated by North in the last quarter and half, and losing by 12 after leading by 33 points part way through the third quarter.
- Annihilated by Carlton by 62.
- Annihilated by Adelaide by 96.

That's a lot of annihilating. Surely North has a better recent finals record than that? Also keep in mind that those were all Elimination finals, so once you were getting thumped, your opponent took the foot of your throat to rest for next week's game. If percentage mattered in finals, there could have easily been 3 100 point losses.

Tail wagging the dog maybe? Did he tell Jobe that he actually needed to chase so Timmy got him sacked?
Who knows but when players like Ryder asking for a trade, Fletcher retiring and blokes like Lloyd & Lucas speaking I'll of their time with Knights the club had to act.

You don't let the tail wag the dog. Lloyd, Lucas, McVeigh all proved to offer very little after Hird arrived and they would of been better off without them.

Since 2000, North have had 5 losses by 80+ points in finals. Two of those have been 100+ point losses in qualifying finals.

If your benchmark is 60+, then North have lost seven finals by that margin.

It is not uncommon for 250+ gamers to struggle with a new coach telling them they are no longer up to it and not doing what is required under the new game plan.

Yes, but North are actually winning some finals too, so their average margin in finals probably looks good compared to your recent efforts. Also, winning finals means you get to play harder teams. Your humiliating annihilations have all been against teams that were not able to make top 4, I'm not sure that is true of North. Face it, you've taken their crown. The fact that North actually beat you in a final recently (with a 45 point turnaround) should be enough for you to have been a little more careful on your annihilation accusations.

Essendon the new North? LOL, they would do anything for our recent finals record. I'd worry about getting your own shit together before potting a club that came back from 6 goals down to torpedo the only final they had a legitimate chance of winning in over a decade.

Also won four in recent years mate. Wouldn't you like to win even one final?

North's 98 point EF margin in 2012 is bigger than any losing margin Essendon has ever had in finals.

Hence "new North" instead of "new Richmond", you moron.

Watson actually blossomed under Knights after Sheedy was never a fan. Fact is that Essendon was comfortable with the direction under Knights until a more appealing option emerged, and the rug was pulled. History is written by the winners, in this case the assassins, many of whom have had their say. We won't get the other side unless Knights breaks his silence, and there's not a lot of point to it now.
