clueless campaigner

What's clueless about it, easily those top five clubs are bigger than Spurs.

Newcastle for all the faults of being poorly run are a big club, with the right owners could be one of the biggest in England.
The Newcastle fans journey is amazing, turn up every home game as a sellout whilst fighting off relegation.

What justifies "Big Club"

Even if you are talking just English teams you are well behind several clubs.

In the 20 odd seasons of the EPL you have only finished in the top 4 twice...hardly the standing of a Big Club!
Having money buy success does not make you a big club either.

Chelsea and City are just pretenders, they ain't big clubs- especially City.

This is obviously a troll.

Spurs are not the big club you think.

s**t they are not even the biggest club in London let alone England!!

Yet only twice have you won the league after spending all that time in it
So what? We always lacked consistency to win leagues. We were more in the entertainment mould and thats why we done well in the cups.

Arsenal used to grind out league titles with dull defensive football - that was their way and they were welcome to it. Man Utd didn't win the league for 26 years from the 60s to the 90s, but they were still regarded as England's biggest club.

Get your head around the fact that league titles aren't the sole reason for making a club big. You should know that from AFL. And what about the Baseball team Red Sox?

Come on, up your game you're an amateur

Bringing this drivel to this thread to keep transfer thread pure.
Attendance for recent friendlies in Australia.
Spurs - 71k
Chelsea - 83k
Man United - 83k
Liverpool - 95k

Guarantee you that Arsenal would better that, and City we will see in a month or so. I'm expecting around 100k though ;)

It's no wonder it's the same old few in here singing from the same hymn book and most new posters tend to stick to their own team boards. The level of circle jerk amongst a select few ruins this board which is a pitty.

Are Spurs a big club? Yes. Are they a big club compared to Man City/Chelsea etc? All depends what we're judging it on but to say that a club that turns over 181 million pound and has no real debt isn't a big club is quite arrogant to say the least.

As I asked previously and I will say it only one more time "What in your mind makes a big club"

The only thing you mentioned was staying in the top flight since 1950.

Surely you need to provide more than this to hold up an argument....

And you do well in Cups this is true...League Cup is more due to the Bigger Clubs having Bigger Competitions to worry about!!

When the supporters of the clubs below you see you next on the fixture list, do they think "s**t, not this mob?"

When the supporters of the clubs above you see you on the fixture list, do they think "s**t, danger game here. Result not certain?"

Do the footballing populace in general just expect you to make or challenge for the CL?

If the answer is yes to those 3, then you're a big club.

Nobody fears Tottenham. We have the NLD, their grand final, and we still don't fear them. We just expect to lose that fixture and finish above them on the table.

I'm so glad some sanity can be found on this board.

Bit of faith restored in Aussies thanks mate

I see all the hate Goonas give Spurs, all the time even here.

Enough evidence for me that you still know we can take you.
