As mad as it sounds I have to admit I am not that worried about what happens to Judd.

Do I want him to stay? of course, who wouldn't? The blokes a complete champion. But, if he decides to go back to Melbourne what can you do? I know the club will do everything in it's power to keep him. They will treat him totally fairly to make sure he stays. But after all that it's still Judd's decision.

History shows some of these guys stay (Pavlich, Morrison, Gehrig - whilst we still wanted him) and others go (Headland, Jeff White). It's probably 50-50. But what I like about the Woosha led Eagles, and what will see us in good stead no matter what Juddy decides, is that it is never one man is bigger than the team. As good as Judd is - and we know he is damn good! - there ae 30-odd other blokes pulling on the jumper to give the great Woosha his all. The club will not jeopardise this really encouraging time for the club for one player - no matter how good. So, in the worst case scenario Woosha, calm as ever, will gather the boys together, call on them to lift their games and take up the slack, and keep on winning footy matches!! That's the Eagles spirit. That's what it's all about.

Having said that it would truly bite watching Juddy in another guernsey running around the paddock... that would suck mightily

Jako goes vetran next year as well.

If they want Juddy then maybe a swap for young Tarkyn Lockyer (knee recon 'n' all) and a high pick could be on the cards.

I reckon with Didak is better than Lockyer after his injury. Actually I rated him higher than Lockyer before it.

Ben Allan said that eddiewood pestered Heath Black & Freo so much in his last year that when he wanted a trade that freo agreed but stipulated that they would do a deal with any other club bar collingwood.

FWIW you should have picked Polak. :)

Very rarely do you make any sense ripper and this time is no exception.

Judd is a once in a lifetime super star player who will shadow the likes of Voss and McCloud. Were we just meant to overlook him just because he is from victoria. Maybe freo's way of thinking but not ours.

He'll stay

I'm not saying he will be better, but it's not a forgone conclusion that Judd will be better.

anyone that says that is an idiot - impossible to say what will happen in the next 3-4 years

but Judd has proven himself to be a gun and all Victorian teams have taken notice, Polak hasnt done that yet

Yeah, well what I'm saying is we don't know who will be better yet because they are both only in their 2nd years, Judd is a midfielder and Polak is a KPP. Obviously KPP take longer to mature and develop but Polak has shown a lot this year to suggest he will be a gun KPP.
