Why should experienced players be picked if they are hopelessly out of form.
Cloke's last two game weren't even that bad, Toovey on the other hand...

When is the last time Cloke was like a genuine experienced fwd that posed a threat? You are allowed to go back to last season for that answer.
If our seniors are dropping off, we might as well play the rookies.
Having said that , I truly hope we get that underperforming age group of Brown, Caff, Sack and Cloke back pushing for selection. Otherwise we are indees a development side with that top layer missing.
My concern is the very skewed team balance in both senior and VFL atm: Senior team too inexperienced and a VFL team with seniors teaching the 2nd echelon of rookies that aren't ready until the next season .
How far we are of being a contender I wouldn't know. With injuries and form loss, we are currently playing with a B grade side that isn't up to it.

Cloke was woeful against Melbourne, didn't even contest many times when the ball was close.
How bad he played is over played. He didn't play his best game but he was better than most out there. As for not contesting is a result of the shit delivery he got.
Well he should still be trying to make a Contest and Not just sit around doing nothing

The coaching staff disagree.

And the coaching staff is always right, how could I forget![]()
He wasn't doing nothing, he was wresting his opponent, sure he went about it the wrong way and should have tried to run and jump at the ball but that didn't warrant dropping him.
Anyone who actually watched the game could see Cloke was putrid.
Doing Nothing but getting a Big Fat Contract is Okay?
Cloke wasn't great but putrid is an over exaggeration
Not really.. I remember several instances where he could of flown for the ball and provided a contest but instead he decided to stay on the ground and watch others compete for the ball.
It was an unacceptable performance by any stretch

Is there no merit in a 22 possession game from a centre half forward? Is there no merit in a guy working hard and crushing players with his tackles? Is there no merit in a forward generating 4 scoring opportunities? What is an acceptable performance from Cloke in your opinion?
Are you talking about the game we're talking about or his VFL game?
VFL. The latest and most relevant performance.
However not at all relevant to our discussion about his Melbourne performance, wouldn't you say?
That's a very pessimistic outlook broseph, we usually are a top 4 side with like the brightest future eva when it's time to extend Bucks' contract.Maybe forever...

Hardwick is a mentor for Bucks because he has had experience in taking a team UP the ladder. This part of successful coaching is new to Bucks so he's just trying to tap into some of his knowledge.Bucks probably rang Hardworking this week on advice for the eight year rebuild.
