Interesting you obviously rate him highly. Iin any order, the big five up and coming young forwards, who'd you have out of Moore, Daniher, Hogan, Lynch and Cameron, note all SEN commentators voted Lynch numero uno on this very subject.

For me, Moore is back in the pecking order for now, just because he doesn't get it enough as of yet, although I'd have him ahead of Daniher, but that can change quickly, and that can go both ways that change.
Lynch was a first round pick in 2010. It's a given he would be a fair way in front in terms of development and output. It doesn't take Einstein to figure that out, let alone some SEN commentators. How Moore is even comparable to Cameron and Lynch at this stage of his career is laughable.

Once treloar nomination us there was no other competition.
From memory he still said that if we couldn't satisfy GWS he would be happy to look elsewhere.
What Melbourne did was trade away a first for a first they just identified a player they wanted so that argument doesn't stack up. If we thought we were going to be a bottom 4 side we don't do the trade.
And we traded a first for a player we wanted also. Even if we wouldn't have done that deal, not expecting to be bottom 4 doesn't exactly equate to "thought they would be going pretty well" and topping up to a premiership

We traded two first not one!

Melbourne traded one first for one first there is a difference there.

He wouldn't have gone anywhere else

A point to note (and I'm not having a go at you here) is that Moore is substantially younger than all of the other players you've named except Hogan. Lynch is 23 (87 games), Cameron is 23 (76 games), Daniher is 22 (55 games), Hogan is 21 (27 games); Moore is 20 (16 games). Purely on goalkicking (I couldn't be arsed doing the rest of the stats), Moore is running at a similar rate to Daniher and Lynch in their early career - a bit better than a goal a game. Cameron and Hogan came on much faster, averaging 2+ goals per game, early career. He's got time to be a Lynch - who only started to impact the scoreboard heavily in his 4th and 5th seasons, respectively.

To you and the other poster who quoted me I think its a fun exercise to cpare sure they are at different levels of their development.... Moore would be better than lynch at the same age.. But lynch I'd take first as of now.. Cameron way overrated but still ud get se lube to get a deal to get him to collingwood

An interesting discussion on AFL 360, with Gerard Whately (apologies for spelling) saying a number of times he believes we are a development team. This weekend we are the 3rd youngest and the 2nd least experienced team to take the field, we have already used 37 players in 7 rounds (though some of that is through injury), we will have this weekend something like 8 or 9 players having played fewer than 25 games and the core of our list sits in the 0 - 100 games bracket.

Bucks also pointed out at the start of the week how short a time our team have been together especially when comparing against teams like West Coast and Hawthorn for whom the core of their list have been together for a number of years and played more than 100 games together.

Just wondered everyone's thoughts on this?

I wonder why we are one of the youngest lists ? Excuses again from Buckley, but the answer is he himself has driven away quality players and players in that middle bracket, players that would be in our current team. To me his position is becoming more and more untenable everytime he opens his mouth. The strongest thing he could do is resign.

Short answer is yes, we are now.

Development would indicate we have young talent that is developing under Buckley, this is questionable at the very best. In his 5 years who of the younger players we recruited in his time has developed ? We are a club that takes young talent and once they realise that Buckley non-existent game plan doesn't work they ask to be traded. This will happen again. Until Buckley is gone the club is only going one way and that is backwards. He is way too inflexible and intense and has no idea how to manage people again indicated by our wonderful performances over the last 18 games

Cameron - kicked 63 as a a 20-21 year old. Does it all pretty well. A pies supporter and genuinely a gun. I think this guy will kick a hundred one day.

Lynch - big boy, big body, sting man. Like this guy a lot. He's 23 though but tracking beautifully kicked 43 goals last year an on track for 80-90 this. Would love him at collingwood. Definitely capable of 100 goals. We should have got this guy to colliingwood.

Hogan - 44 goals as a 20 year old is a great effort. dont like the way he kicks and I could see it becoming an issue. Kid is a star though. Is a bit too arrogant but probably part and parcel of being a big time forward

Moore - beautiful reliable kick for goal, agile, fearless, nice mark and and clever player. If he can bulk up and get to more contests can be as good as the top 3.

Daniher - don't rate this guy. Big and gets a few marks. But hasn't shown me anything to suggest he'll be top 5 league towards. I've seen him go into preservation mode when hearing footsteps. And he can't kick. I'm almost willing to say Darcy is already better than him.

That's how i see it at the moment but I'd like to think Darcy is capable of challenging the top 3 players. Needs a good foil and an in form Travis would allow him to develop quicker. However, Darcy me strikes me as the guy who is willing to back himself in and expectations will not not him back. Regardless of what's going on around i see him succeeding. Our next captain.

Unde
Well I say it is now as Chances of Making Finals are Slim.

BUT

The Club won't say that as they want us to think we are Competitive and We could win the Flag next season[/QUOTE

we are the furthest away from a flag since 1999
