To win a premiership you need a lot of luck which collingwood have never got. This is the best chance for us to win the premiership this year. But the same can be said for 7 other clubs. It is so even that I actually think 7 clubs can win this premiership this year.

But has history has shown luck has never been on Collingwood’s side.

No because curses aren't a thing

(1) They are for those who believe in them.

(2) The world works in many ways we don’t understand. A mere 100 years ago flying to the moon, curing bacterial diseases, super weapons, Dick Tracey watches, ‘portable answer any question devices’, ‘handheld movie devices with audio’, ‘toys on magic paper’, man made climate change, all weren’t things either. In 100 years our descendants will scoff at our naivety.

Thinking this way can easily become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Let's flip the script.

We are destined to win.

Curses aren't a thing. People who believe they are are silly.

Yes and no, it comes down to belief (but not your conscious mind) if it takes root in the subconscious then you unconsciously go about arranging said disaster, and with 95% of our daily actions being subconscious you really don't want it getting a hold down there or it's indistinguishable from a curse.

This current side bucks the trend.
They have the belief, the hunger and the coach to to delivery the ultimate.
Craig McRae is a winner and has this group primed for a premiership.
The hurt of last year will drive us through September.

We are not cursed. We have buried the Colliwobbles once and for all as well as the pain of September Grand Final losses from 1960 to 2018. During that period we were close in 1966, 1970, 1979, 2002 and 2018 sandwiched with two flags in October 1990 and 2010 following drawn finals.

The ghosts of Barry Breen, Wayne Harmes, Anthony Rocca and Dom Sheed have been banished.

First Grand Final we've won decided by <1 goal since 1903. That's our second of seven.

We aren't cursed just unlucky.
