I did hear Kerry say that Osama was corned in the Tora Bora mountains, but then Bush decided to send in the Northern Alliance instead of the US Special Forces.

What they just had a couple of blokes hiding behind palm trees lobbing corn cobs at him?

The question should be "Do the US want to catch Osama"?

150,000 troops in Iraq would suggest they don't.
Very good point.

Osama may have got his boys to fly a few planes into a few buildings, but he doesn't control a good % of the world's oil.

The british SBS had him cornered and they were replaced by Delta, CIA SOG'S and green berets and during the time that this took to happen he escaped. Have very very relaible sources on this

Hopefully, its not from the same sources that said Iraq could strike in 45 minutes or that they had WMDs.

Then you'd also be aware that US Special Forces Ops had Osama in their crosshairs at least 4 times in 2002.. Each time told to stand down. And one time was within 20 metres.

I think Bush thinks OBL is too hard to catch, so he'll just pick some other, sitting-duck, dictator, fabricate some links to al Qaeda and go after him instead. Like he did with Saddam.
You reckon Dave W 309 to 229 in favour of Kerry is wrong?
