I think Bush thinks OBL is too hard to catch, so he'll just pick some other, sitting-duck, dictator, fabricate some links to al Qaeda and go after him instead. Like he did with Saddam.
I suspect (well more hope really) that even Bush might learn the futility of such an action after what's been going on in Iraq. If I recall correctly some of our more neo-con friends here were confidently predicting Iraq would all be wrapped up quickly and the US would move on to the likes of Syria - a year ago. Bush might be an idiot, but that's not true of his entire administration. Bush certainly wouldn't want to anger the American people that much that they crucify the Republicans at the mid-term elections in 2006. A lame duck president with a very hostile Congress wouldn't be either efficient or effective in prosecuting a war on anything except each other.

I think Kerry will win, but that it'll be closer. Maybe something like 285-255.
This post kinda makes your original one superfluous was the point.

The british SBS had him cornered and they were replaced by Delta, CIA SOG'S and green berets and during the time that this took to happen he escaped. Have very very relaible sources on this
Interesting, as what i said was what Kerry said in one of his election campaign speeches.
