I feel it's time to bare my soul in this here thread....Though it's got nothing to do with stripping butt-naked & lathering myself up in honey, to provide for something of a bear trap.....I'd just rather admit that my family Totem is that of the Grizzly bear, much as with many old Celtic families.....In Celtic mythos the Bear totem/Spirit (named Artio) is associated with protective instincts, while the male version in Artaois, was associated with the wild warrior archetype, which the legend of King Arthur derives from.....Of course, many norther Europeans have the bear for their totem, though most are blissfully unaware of that fact due to their inherent hibernation.

In Ancient Greek mythos, the Bear is associated with the Goddess Artemis -Roman Diana- (Goddess of the woods & hunting)….Much like the Bear, the Goddess preferred to remain out of sight & left to wander wild & free to her own devices.

In Viking mythos Warriors were known to both invoke the bear spirit in order to infuse themselves with it's animal ferocity, while simultaneously donning a bear head & skin, wrapping it around themselves.
