A simple yes or no, with an explantion would be appreciated. Sorry if you have to repeat wot ya said on another thread.

My answer is yes. #4 was my main focus and i am glad i got it. Would have liked #14 instead of #20, but tis still good.

Would have prefered a player and a Pick but 4'n'20 is not too bad.

So long as we got 2 things out of it I am fine

Fair call, but i spose i should be less vague and add an "At this point in time".

the draft is alot less hit and miss these days with all the information and statistics they have on players they don't stuff up top 5 picks often but then again there is josh fraser. I think 4 and 20 picks is an excellent result for us.

With the fact that Carey didn't play in 2002 and wasn't going to play for North in 2003 (thankyou captain obvious!) the club needed to get the best deal out of a bad situation.

Overall I am not unhappy with the trade, in some years we may have got more in the trade, less in others.

Early draft picks when we are working to buyild a young team are very useful, and with the early picks we have had with tradingi9n the past 2-3 years, should turn out all right.

Early draft picks don't guarantee results, but they do help you to get the players you want. All we need to do is pick the rioght players.

So is this a win, the answer is in who North gets for the picks, ask me again in 5 years. Is this a loss for the club, yes it is, a club champion leaves in disgrace. Draft picks is like salvaging a few photo's from the fire that destroyed your home, it can be rebuilt, but a lot of work is required.

Considering we got the picks for nothing (when you think about it)
I'm pretty happy with what we got for the duck

Highest draft pick we have had in about 15 years. If u ask me its a corker

Not fair to use the benefit of hindsight IMO. We must judge it now, just as our recruiters had to. Stage one (picks 4 and 20) is an excellent result. Stage 2 is the hard part. Selecting at least one player that will be a gun.
