Is he worth a look at been at Saints couple of years looks like he can play but hasnt been givin a whole lot of opportunities so should we make a play and what would it cost

I would love to grab Armitage and Thomson (Anyone heard any news on him) that could give us 2 good young Mids and also pick up a good young Mid with our 1st Rounder and with Cousins coming to Collingwood we would be in a really good position

I would like him at the pies but why would the Saints part with him especially with Harvey retiring. No chance.

Yeh I doubt the saints would let him go. Also not sold on Thompson either if he came almost cost free I'd take him but I wouldn't even give up a 3rd rounder for him as it stands I'd rather try upgrade our 3rd.

I would give a 3rd Rounder Thomson for sure

Armitage has had no opportunities this year always seems to get droped after a game or 2 AFL doesnt last for ever so you want as many chances early on to establish yourself if Pies made a play at him i think we would be a massive chance and with Saints wanting Kerr where will he fit

I haven't seen enough of Thompson but there is so something NQR about him. If he is struggling to get a game in Port's side this year. From what I have read his good inside with queries over his pace and kicking but has been very good in the 2's. I don't see how that differs much to Stanley who has been dominate in our VFL this year and is very good inside with queries over his pace and is actually a good kick.

I'd have a serious dip at Armitage and also Nathan Jones at Melbourne. I'd be a lot more prepared to give up our 1st round pick as part of a deal to get either of those two than on O'Keefe.

Armitage is going nowhere, and wont even be considered for a trade.

Ross Lyon is from a Sydney background, where they dont really give young players too many opportunites in the first 2-3 years of their career, and the same goes with Armitage.

I'd love him at the pies, but i seriously doubt it.

I really like Nathan Jones ball winning abilities but you do realise that he is a worse kick than anyone on our list including BJ and Rhyce?

i think he's quite a good kick. he would compliment our midfield perfectly, don't u worry about that.

Is armatiage really what we need? I've always thought of him as a soft outside footballer with pretty good skills, but i may be wrong. We've already got exquisite outside footballers who are able to play midfield
