This is a new season, and we're going to kick things off with a little bit of a change.

This thread is for discussion of the games we aren't playing in. It is not a thread to constantly refer to how well/badly we are going in our own games, nor is it a place to ruin the enjoyment of others with constant jabs or referrals to Carlton's woes.

Any posts that do so continuously will get deleted, and anyone who continues to push the envelope afterwards will find themselves threadbanned.

There talls do anyways .. they need a full back to pair with McCartin and a new marking fwd.. Everything else is there.. rampe and Lloyd look done.

I still really do wonder how Collingwood would go if deprived of Pendles and Sidebottom for any amount of time. They still rely on that deft touch, that release of pressure, that moment of clever contested ball or intelligent footy or reliable, consistent hardness inside that - frankly - they don't have all that much of outside of those two.

They're good, but gee they're reliant on those two and Elliott an awful lot.

Hayward would be hard work also. Think he has always been inconsistent. Last week BOG, not great today ..

McDonald is very overrated as a high pick KPF, thought this for a while, just don’t believe he’ll turn into a high end player long term…

Good big fwds still need to be able to leave bodies on the ground -- he seems like a nice footballer

Swans lost Armatey very early in the game , releasing Moore to rebound at will, the team reshuffle changed the momentum of the game.
Also Pies contested ball movement was pretty good, a gritty hard football which the Swans don’t mange so well.

Mcrae is getting so much out of his team. He’d have to be the best coach at this stage. Tge system he’s implemented is not only effective it’s also a joy to watch.

Collingwood are one of the better sides to watch. They are well balanced for talls. They play the modern game as well as anyone.

Their coach and recruiting team are in harmony with how modern football needs to be played. They use their ability to run and run fast very very well to both defend and open the game up.

They have a few old wise heads who can still move well who offer so much.

They will be a contender this season. Having Membry, Mihocek and McStay fit will bring them back to life.

What I would give to have Hill, Elliott and McCreery in our side.
