I just don't know about Joel Amartey.

It's a very Sydney thing to do to unveil a 23 year old KPP at 195cm and over 100kg (he'd played a total of 13 games prior to last year, one game in his first and two lots of six in his second and third) and have that player seemingly come from nowhere to average a goal and a half a game. But he seems to me to be the bloke who benefits from some amazing work upfield; he'll have barely a metre between him and his bloke and the kick'll be ****ing perfect to him and it doesn't let his opponent in even a little. He'll laconically chase his opponent to the ball, Papley will lay two or three efforts while he waits on the corridor and receives the ball to snap truly.

Kicking goals in the AFL accurately is a skill, don't get me wrong. Just, he feels like someone who things are coming very easily to at present, and one wonders how he's going to go when things get a mite harder.
