You can get clearances all over the ground. Heat map shows him mostly forward when game was on the line in the 1st half

From memory them beatig us in the last round last year pushed them up two spots on the ladder and down two spots in the draft.

Took the last two of the "gun" midfielders (Langford and Smilie) out of their grasp and left the best on the board as two defenders in Trevaglia and Tauru.

Both might end up being good players but they desperately need good mids.

I think you are forgetting Liam Stocker. Didn't their list manager state that he would end up as a mid when he was drafted?

This is where taking "best available" over need at the draft might not work out so well...

I was only giving a potted history of the 2024 draft. If you would like to go into the half back flankers / half forward flankers that SOS said he would turn into midfielders over the years, then go for it.

My only question: I thought Stocker actually was a genuine mid when he was drafted? He just didn’t have the tank for it in it the AFL

But I think you just sit down and enjoy the football. I’m with you on both teams. But it should be a cracking contest.

The added bonus is you can barrack for Geelong to pull up pretty sore.

As much as I will hate it, I want Geelong to win today.

I just can’t stand the Hawks. I despise Mitchell, and him hiding true persona, while looking so nice in the media. Family club my a$$, hoc ball , and now the flowering wizard flog , and after all that, growing up around their supporters in the 80’s still annoys me……….
