Game Day Around The Grounds Rounds 16 - 20

Brisbane will want to hit back, and Freo are Freo. Reckon I'd be tipping the Lions personally.

The one that worries me the most is us v the Suns. They'll want to make a statement after their flogging from Melbourne, and its exactly those sorts of important games against weaker sides that we lose.

As opposed to ones against the top eight sides?

Just want the boys to keep securing Ws for the last 3 games. If it’s meant to be, it will be. We don’t deserve it with some poor consistent footy. But will deserve it more than any other team around us if we do (if that makes sense). Basically if one of these other sides can’t secure it with how poor we’ve been at times, we deserve to be there. Will not be complaining at all.

Another perfect week of results for us.

Next week we need:

Us to beat the Suns (likely)
The Dogs to roll the Bombers (likely)
Cats to pump the Giants (likely)
North to beat the Tigers (unlikely but you never know)
Melbourne to beat the Eagles (likely)
Sydney to roll the Saints (likely)
Lions to knock off the Dockers (likely)

Those results would see us in 9th place next week.

A Saints win is the only one we can really be OK with, because their percentage is rubbish, so even if they won, we would still be 9th (presuming other results go our way).
I was there for both. The saints game at Waverley - thought that we would be goalless - we were that bad. Might have been Jimmy Cook that kicked our first.

The general consensus at the time was that we would be lucky to win another game. Lucky that there was no bigfooty back then.

Why do we need Geelong to pump the Giants? They have a draw in hand so percentage isn't a factor...

We'd really like the Dogs to pump the Bombers. Two reasons, the obvious one is because it always great to see them get flogged but secondly, there's a scenario where even if we lose to Port, we could still sneak in the 8 based on percentage.

Spot on in every scenario

Stated a while back 11 wins is good enough thus year, some jumping on the bandwagon late
