It just gets to the point of being unlistenable.
The same words and open adulation gets adorned on the same few, until someone takes the herd and steers them in a different direction.

Think it was Mark Fine that said it well this morning and it went something like his.
(My interpretation here only as I took up the meaning of what was said, rather than a word for word run-down.)

A coach says something. (Can be a media personality for mine)
The media then take on that statement and push it to the endth degree.
The populace absorbs the hype and continues to perpetuate what has been rammed down their throats without ever questioning it.

............and then we get bombarded with the usual emotive terms.....'my dream'....'the journey'....'history'....'tradition'....etc. ....and as bad as it is to listen to that tripe, many absorb it and run with the cycle. It's hideous.
