FFS Skippys, kick some bloody scores.
The importance of being able to put teams away and gain percentage. We're better than them. They've had more beltings. We've played one more side from the current top 10.
They've played the schizophrenic Saints on a down week and North. We haven't had either yet, but should be above them. Should've won by more against Suns, Dons and Hawks.

Here's the thing; if we had anything resembling our best 22 out there when we played them, we'd have won by more. The Suns game was played in the worst possible conditions (courtesy of the AFL scheduling the game poorly) and we got Essendon when they were up and raring to go.

We have shat the bed sufficiently against Hawthorn that I will take any win against them.

There's also the fact that we've not been able to settle into anything resembling a form pattern due to playing contenders every second week. Most up and coming teams who take that next step do so after playing themselves into a bit of form and getting into a roll off the back of some cheap victories against lesser opponents. We've not had that luxury.

We've every opportunity to try and take that step over the next few weeks.

This is such a Bolton-esque performance from Collingwood; opposition kick well clear but only about 6-7 goals up, they seize momentum and have a run on due to increased effort and leaders standing up in the early third, might even get on an actual roll and kick it back to being 10-ish points or so down, before losing by 20 points or so in the end.
