Still waiting for the footage of super fan Peter Daicos celebrating like a 2 bob watch when Nick or Josh kick a huge team lifting goal. Could be waiting a while.

Here's a tip mate - have a look at how Marcus Ashcroft watches his kids go about it.
Nah, don't mind a dad celebrating his kids doing well.

Not sure if it was me looking for it, but don’t think I’ve seen a team collectively throw their hands in the air appealing for free kicks more than the Pies.
Seemed every contest / stoppage they had multiple players having a whinge
Daicos should have been penalised for disputing a decision, but Nick , so carry on.
If the umpires pay a dissent free kick early, all the carry on with arms in the air, appealing etc suddenly stops.

Isn’t Daicos the fifth onfield umpire for Pies games?

Agree. Even when they replayed it in slow mo I couldn’t understand why the commentators were frothing at mouth. Defenders eyes on the ball and his fist clearly punches the ball without contacting Elliot’s arms.

It's amazing isn't it. This crap goes on all year with incorrect calls or 50/50 decisions.

However when it happens to the pies, they feel there needs to be a royal commission called to sort it out.

To me, he never took his eyes off the ball, spoilt the mark without chopping and there was slight front on contact after. Instead of Elliott playing for the free, if he stayed on his feet, he probably would have had a better chance of winning the ball

One play he had both arms out sideways appealing to the umpire while the ball was still live and the Lions plays just kept playing.

As for McRae "I thought you were going to ask me about the non decision. Only losers blame umpires so I won't" Why did you bring it up?

Because he’s a prick.

Actually I’m getting very frustrated with certain specific team players umpiring games and nearly every decision. Thankfully 2 of the culprits had been knocked out this week.

Maybe the AFL should concentrate on fixing a blight on the game, instead of FS drafting.
Speaking of bad looks - if I were Juddy, I’d be asking why chicken tackles are allowed again????

They won’t fall off the map, but there is a decline coming.

Coll'd finished 4th and don't see them dropping much ... maybe 5th or 6th?

They play a better Quality of footy than most teams with very high pressure, high IQ, excellent skills and make the most of their opportunities, especially in the forward 50. They do the basics very well so I expect that it will still be very difficult for other teams to overtake them in 2026. I certainly wouldn't be writing them off. They are not Port .... or ... cough ... Carlton after making a Prelim.

The AFL video today with Sarah Ollie and Kane Cornes.

Kane goes Pies are cooked for the next 5-7 years now. Sarah goes well it cant happen because it means Daicos’ prime years will be wasted down the ladder.

Like what is that narrative? Just because a team have a great player doesnt mean they have to be a top 4 side.

If they lose Elliot. That is their main source of goals. The list is going to be a year older, they have 1 good player under 23. They struggled to beat decent teams in they second half of the year.
