Couldn't see that happening. Got them in a close one not too long ago but dees should have won. Dees would be too brutal.

Swans beat them (albeit up there) and pies were never in the game about 4 weeks ago.

They beat Melbourne in a game similar to ours when the dees gad them for long periods of time but didn't take their opportunities.

If they make a prelim after losing tomorrow I think they will bow out. All bets are off if they find s way to beat the cats.

The doubt with the Cats stems from their overall finals record for mine. They are a class above the pies. They dismantled them in one quarter. Maybe it’s the bias talking because I despise the pies, but they should spank them, particularly with as pies play. Very non accountable defence. Harry and Charlie had 12 scoring shots plus Charlie’s shocker in the first which fell short. Hawkins, Cameron and Stengle should snag 10 between themselves at the very least.

There is no possible way that the 'various angles' were definitive. You've been conned.

I still can’t come up with a sport which video refereeing has improved.

It takes away from the spontaneity of being a fan (muted celebration while waiting to see if the goal is disallowed). It disempowers the umpires, leading to poorer decisions on the ground (those of us growing up in the 80s could remember cricket umpires getting millimetre run out decisions correct more often than not with the naked eye, these days they wouldn’t be capable). And I suspect the tech is really only employed to act as a safeguard for professional sports getting taken to the cleaners if onfield umpires are found to be on the take.

The biggest error was made by the goal umpire.... he should be able to say “FIIK... sort it out upstairs” instead of guessing !!

Perception is a funny thing. I had the commentary off and must have looked away for a split second because I thought it was a behind right away. I had looked back to the screen to see Lynch play on like a moron and immediately looked despondent, like he knew he F'd up, and I never even caught the umpire signalling a goal though obviously he did.

Lynch and his reaction probably lost them the game as much as anything. Oh but what sweet karma tho.
