Don't you read Newspapers, Adelaide was voted as Australia's 2nd most livable city after Perth. I was only stating the results from an Australian wide survey.

Lets see it was a national survey that was printed in a Adelaide Newspaper. So it does count. If it was a survey done only in Adelaide then why is Perth ranked 1 not Adelaide.

well i've been to Adeliade, i found it fun, only coz brisbane were playign there that week and me and my friend went to the city with a few of them, the only things i found beautiful was: one of their beaches, the footy(only coz the lions won) and the best thing bout adeliade was the airport so i could get out of that excuse for a city!

I dont know about the rest of you Victorians but I would be happy if the West Australians and South Australians didnt visit us at all. Here in Melbourne we really enjoyed going to the football on a Saturday afternoon it wasnt us Melbournians who set up this bloody AFL it was the AFL themselves who told us we would be happy to do it, they didnt ask me and if they had the answer would have been NO. You get on here and grizzle about how bad Melbourne is and us Vics. well I say stay home and take your bloody teams with you, you are nothing but a bunch of bad sports anyway always grizzling and monaning about us, well buggar off. I am quiet happy to live in my city and I assume you in yours so why come on here and give us all of this crap, each to his/her own, if they told me tomorrow that the AFL was dead and buried, I wouldnt give a stuff, it would mean that we could get to see our teams play here in Melb every week and I would be happy with that. That survey must ahave been done in WA or Adelaide otherwise how the hell would the rest of Australia know what it is like to live in bloody Adelaide or Perth, hell I havent even been to Perth so if they asked me what would I say? ohhhhh I think Perth is the most livable city or ohhh I think Adelaide is, your telling me that everyone in Australia has at sometime lived in either of these two cities so thats how they picked them, bull. So I ask you which overseas city do you think would be the most livable? And I ask you how would you bloody know if you havent lived there.?

Have any of you actually travelled beyond the Adelaide Hills ?
Have any of you been overseas ?
And by the way, it was not so long ago that another "survey" voted Melbourne the most liveable city in the WORLD.

That's not to say that I don't like Melbourne, I've visited a couple of times and found it actually to be a nice place to visit, with many attractions.

Daphne, don't get so sensitive about what some people say about Melb. and Victorians. I've read numerous comments about the intelligence of South Australians and how our footpaths get rolled up at 6 pm. Victorians give as much crap as they get so get off your high horse. You don't see me writing some long, stupid idiotic post in retaliation (unlike yourself).

I reckon the AFL has been great for footy in Aus. I wonder how many people share your view that if the AFL became 'dead and buried' they wouldn't give a stuff. Anyone else care to comment??

As much as I like living here,the funniest thing I think about Perth, is the fact we were described in some internet travel guide as "dullsville"- and the West Austrlian actually had it on the front page, saying how that wasn't true.

You'd think a city that was as non-dull as Perth would have more interesting front page news wouldnt ya?
