The only way it can happen is if you are Fergie at Man United or someone in a 1 team league with no ambition to manage better sides (eg Rodgers at Celtic).

Rodgers is a Celtic fan so managing his boyhood club isn't a bad thing. That and any club outside the top 6 would be a downgrade for him.

Yeah, but we aren't even close to getting into the 4 spots, are we?

You're a lot ******* closer than 14 other clubs in the league who could only dream of being 6th.

Another thing that gets lost in this conversation is the rise of two clubs backed by oil-rich oligarchs/countries. When Arsenal were preparing for the Emirates there is no way they would have anticipated those events happening, especially knowing that they'd need to pinch pennies for the next 10 years to pay off the stadium.

They could/should have been able to keep their neighbours with half the riches and stadium at bay but they've been surpassed by them both on and off the field

You've finished above them literally once in 25 years or something.
And will do so easily again this season. Theyve gone from expecting to beating us anywhere to being happy to walk away with some dignity with a 1 goal loss to us away from home nowadays. Before this season it had been 3 years since they'd beaten us. You can imagine that would piss fans off. Pisses me off even thinking about that happening in reverse with West Ham. To allow that all to happen on Wenger's watch is why fans are right to say he is tarnishing his legacy

Suddenly? What's sudden? No one has actually explained to me what has suddenly changed. Ross has gone closest by saying this is your lowest points total at this stage under Wenger, but you're still 6th.

Were United or Liverpool fans expressing similar outrage when they went through this very thing over a number of years?
When things were going bad for United/Liverpool they did something to change. They didn't drift for a decade.

And look how relevant those fa cups are your clubs in turmoil with infighting and talks of a ruined legacy. The FA cup wins were relevant and enjoyable for an hour max you've had 9 month long seasons of s**t for five years. But hey deflect onto us. I know whose enjoyed the last few seasons more, hint it's not the ones who has opposition fabs chanting they want their manager to stay or being the plot to one of the best YouTube comedic channels in existence.

Robbie's making his money in the meantime making arsenal even more popular and relevant at the same time, give it a season or two and spurs will be back where you belong selling off all your decent players to support your new stadium, so enjoy your fleeting time in the sun with your no trophies and nothing to show for it except for finishong above arsenal for a couple of seasons

It is funny the way Arsenal fans use the "at least we win trophies" jibe at other clubs but if anyone says that when defending Wenger all of a sudden they don't matter.

Why do you have to come along and be such a dick? We were actually having a grown-up debate in here.

It's a shame about Arsenal these days. I loved when they were a fortress at Emirates/Highbury.

Football has gone to s**t though in all honesty, but has been this way for a while. It's all about who's got the most money. Apart from Athletico winning it in 14 and making a couple of Champions League finals, Spain is always Real-Barca. Italy, Juventus is dominating and Inter had it from god knows when, then Milan came in 2011 or 12 and won it. They used to dominate. It was always Man U in the EPl with a shade from Arsenal, then when the money came so did Chelsea and Mourinho, then City. Bayern in the Bundesliga ( Wolfsburg 09 a rare exception.

Arsenals last win in 2004. Pool, what the 90's? Leicester a once in a life time winner.

Portugal is Benfica and Porto.

Football is s**t it's just a business. At least in the AFL we've had different winners consistently, with a few sides dominating at times.

Anyway, Arsenal are rubbish and Wenger is washed up but their players constantly leave anyway and do they have the same cash as City etc?

Man United's last meaningful title was in 2012. Europa is a plastic trophy. So for all this Arsenal talk and Man U might be doing better this season, they're still way off Man City. Tottenham is rising but still what have they won?

Good on Leicester two years ago. At least they didn't buy a trophy like teams do these days.

Arsene Genuinely loves the club and it's apart of him. But by trying to keep it afloat ( and himself ) he's sinking it further.

He needs to Let go. His doing more harm than good.

Naitland-Miles mum is homeless and living out of a storage container. Apparently he wouldn't go guarantor on any rental applications she put through. She's a bit of a nut and was arrested during Arsenal contract negotiations for her son lol
I would never have worked that out based on your original post lol.

But yeah that is mental.

Who do arse fans actually realistically want yo replace wengs?
Klopp or Poch.

Wenger knows his time is up, he's just scared of what will happen when he leaves.

He's dedicated his life to the club, that stadium is basically his. The board are poison, so he'd be thinking it'll all just burn down when he leaves it up to them.

Plus the club is his li, it's all he knows and quitting would probably be the end of him. It'd be like being married to the girl of your dreams but you can't please her anymore, then you break up and you watch her from a distance as she moves on with some other bloke, while you have nothing.

I know it's been said too many times, but give him 1 more season.

Either he wins the Euro League (lol) or he fails to qualify for Europe/drops out of Europe early next season, then uses the extra rest to really push for the title after a solid transfer window.
