Fully agreed, it's just a matter of establishing Arthur Stanley Brown's presence in Adelaide in 1973 which I think is doable. There is the morsel of a clue where it is suggested ASB told someone he'd seen the Adelaide convention / exhibition centre under construction. Has or can this be verified? In which context was this claim made...if there's any pointers I'd like to do some digging.

Then there's the chap who posted on here in the AO thread suggesting Brown was staying near him in Adelaide at the time.

We need to be honest, he’s a long shot for AO. It’s possible, but abducting and murdering two children while interstate would be extremely unlikely. These predators have rehearsed plans and locations to take the children, doing it while essentially on holidays would have to be very unlikely.

There’s no doubt at all that he resembles the identikit, however.

Whenever I read this ... sends shivers ... a facebook page set up by a sister of the AO missing girl, Joanne Ratcliffe continue to seek answers...SA government have offerred a $1mill reward...there are too many matches to say its not this man, Brown!

Whilst i wouldnt rule Brown out due to him being a massive grub, i do wonder about the Adelaide claims.

He had no Adelaide base, no where to take kids post abduction and his MO for the Mackay sisters suggest he left bodies to be discovered afterwards, not hid them forever.

Most Pedos tend to operate in areas familar to them. I would say Brown is a top contender for anything QLD related but not so sure about anything Adelaide related.

Can I highlight Derrick Percy, He was based on a Naval base. He operated a long way from his home base, at different seaside locations. James Ryan cruised past his victims exiting from stores and roamed far.

Percy was transferred around a bit during his time in the Navy which meant he had basically set up at a new location.

He is also linked to a lot of unsolved murders (Wanda, Beaumont etc) but he was so scattered no one knew what to make of him.

Correct me if i am wrong but the only crimes Percy was found guilty of were all from Victoria?

Its a huge leap to have someone drive from North QLD to Adelaide to commit a crime like this.
Not to mention he chose to dispose of the bodies as opposed to leaving them to be found and clothes folded up neatly like he did with the Mackay sisters.

Adelaide had so many dirty Pedos and some kind of ring in the 60s and 70s that its far more likely to be someone from in or around Adelaide familiar with the surrounds and had a base, exit strategy etc.
