From an article 8 Feb 2013 --
Following an emergency AFL commission meeting on Thursday night, the League will implement a series of measures to combat what has been described as "widespread" use of banned substances in Australian sport.

One of those steps will be "enhanced registration and detailed background checks of football club employees, including sub-contractors".

All club presidents, chief executives, football managers and senior coaches will be briefed by the AFL on the measures being taken following the Australian Crime Commission report and Nisbett said he had full faith in the direction the League would take.

Good governance would of had the AFL on top of this before it hit the fan. As such they have some responibility now. IMHO

We probably have some kind of idea how much of his own time and money Little ploughed into this whole shitfight, but just to put our troubles into perspective, a little tidbit in the AFR today mentions that PL has just taken delivery of his new personal runabout… a GulfStream 650… brand-spankers.

RRP is $85 million, plus interior fitout and customisation.

So what you're saying is....

DONATE TO THE FLIGHT PLAN.

Finally, a thread on the supplements saga.

Why haven't we had one of these for the last 4 years? I have a lot of posting to make up for.
Just a storm in a tea cup, will be over by April.

After all the blood we have paid to this saga, if the players are found not guilty on the appeal I won't know how to feel.
Basically we will have taken a significant piece of the fabric of our club for nothing.

The emotional toll on everyone involved obviously can't be overlooked, the financial sanctions, the loss of our coach, the loss of various good players, tarnished reputations all round, etc. We're all very wary now as well, untrusting of the powers that be. Worse of all in my opinion, the young fans who are bullied at school because they barrack for the 'drug cheats'.

But on the other hand we are better for it in some ways, certainly we are a much better run club now than we were before the saga. The players that are left and the members that are left have banded together in a way that should be just about unbreakable going forward - if we can face this we can face anything. Our competition is just as stunted from the draft concessions to GWS and GC as we were by our draft sanctions... while we were hit harder we were also lucky and Dodo nailed the picks we did have. Add to that the fact we've managed not to tear ourselves to shreds in the process, very few other clubs would have survived it.

And I'm not saying any of that to downplay what has happened — but if winning the appeal leads to a situation where you have to laugh or cry.... if that happens, I choose laughter.

lmao completely forgotten about this saga. Just some of the lowlights:

- The bigfooty meltdown over the Dank interview in 2013 when he scratched his nose.
- The relentless troll who started an alias account seemingly everyday on the HTB in 2013.
- Mark Stevens and his AOD pamphlet fiasco.
- Dr. Ageless
- Caroline Wilson complaining about the emotional toll of the saga (had the audacity to complain about the vitriol she copped for her s**t).
- The Brisbane poster who wanted to ban his kids from playing/watching football unless we were banned from the competition.
- McDevitt not knowing what the standard of proof was
- The rampant sexism towards Tania Hird.

there's more, but the last 3 years can get ****ed. That is what happens when ass-covering politicians try to mix their bullshit with sport. Clowns

Remember the poster who had inside info that a player admitted to TB4 and was happy to spread via PM's?

Unfortunately some of our own gullible swallowed it and started to validate the rumour but saying they had the inside info also... clowns.

And that Hird might be doing jail time for trafficking...

-Bock with a mountain of evidence against him not being charged
-14 other clubs with medium to high level supplements programs with no single point of accountability getting a phone call from AFL house, any banned substances in your supplements program? yeah nah all sweet here nothing to see
