Confectioner on his best would be every chance. Why they persist in riding him back, I have no idea. It is blindingly obvious he goes best when ridden forward/midfield, such as the Craiglee last year, when he sat in the box seat and never looked like losing. From barrier 1 you'd think they would have to go forward.

However, the two to beat for mine are Hartley's Dream (outstanding run first up and exceptional second up record) and Niconero (classy horse but the handicapper has got to him).
At least they rode Confectioner forward and he finally showed what he could do - the pace seemed pretty slow to my eye for this sort of race however, so Belle Bizarre may have looked better than she is.

What a performance Confectioner put in. They've been riding him back for ages which is completely stupid. He only got out at the 150m and flew.

Will she run the 1800m? Was getting fairly tired on the line today. No knocking her, though.
Nah ur right there mate bit of a query with the extra 200 metres of the fruit n veg and the way Confectioner finished off his race he should win with a similar run.
I was only saying that i'll back her as everytime i don't she wins and pays well when i don't, so in saying that she will run last if i get on her ha ha.

Is Niconero entered, he is yet to run beyond the 1600 (or 1610 to be precise), but he came rocketing home....

I'm a huge fan of Niconero, always seems to be getting home strongly through traffic but never enough luck. Should have a couple more wins to his name in decent races.

There were quite a few unlucky runs in the Railway,as usual.
Vain Crusader & Polar Bear were amongst them.
Unfortunately theyve both drawn the carpark again.

Still very keen on Niconero for barrier 9 this time will be able to slot in... and end with that devastating burst.... On that note Cargo Cult is racing in Sydney tomorro in the 7th. Should be a good go.....

Niconero is a non-winner.
They're both non-winners!

I liked Polar Bear, good effort in the Railway and did win over 1800 at Flemington, but yeah another bad barrier. Maybe the extra distance will mean it has less effect though. But if Confectioner runs like he did in the Railway then he'll just win.
