Very impressed with the young lad tonight. Was a shining light in an otherwise completley ineffective and inactive forward line. Presented well all night and took a few good grabs. Also his goal from the pocket was great considering how much ******** he was getting from Carlton ****************s nearby (I was right behind it). Looks to have got CHF penciled in for the season barring injury. What are your thoughts?

I prefer Hansen a bit closer to goal... he gets a lot of his kicks outside 50 which you expect as a CHF... but if he was closer to goal he is a good enough lead and mark to get it 5 or 6 times a game close to goal. He is also a pretty damn accurate kick for goal too.

Lynch shuldnt be dropped, if anything, he shuld be moved to the backline where he can handle guys like Whitnall, Brown and other big bodied ones better than Glass and Staker.

There is room in this team for Doogs, Hansen, Gardy and Lynch, Whether it be the first 3 in the Forward line and Lynch in the Backline.

Gotta take lynch out of full-forward, couldnt catch a beachball last night.

As for hansen, yeah id love to see him at FF, strong leader, fairly good hands and has the height to upset some of the 'smaller' FB's

Astonishing how the likes of Lynch, Hansen and Staker pirouette from favoured to unfavoured every week on the basis of one game.

I thought Ash was okay last night after a slow start. He's a decent mark and a very very good kick for goal. Good signs, but nothing to really get super excited.

I think his hands in contested situations are a little suspect, and I don't think he is any more capable of providing a 4 quarter effort than the other FF hopefuls, and thats what we lack atm.

I think he could be a good player for us if he can stay healthy and get a bit of confidence but last night he didn't play that well IMO. He was a passenger in the first quarter and really didnt start playing well until late into the game. But you have to expect young tall, inexperienced players to be inconsistent. Lets not forget he has only played 5 games or so.

Took some strong marks - an area in which he has greatly improved since the first pre-season round this year.

He had a few moments of indecision, but made up for it with a couple of great goals.

For the amount of career game time he's had, I think he's done well.

I really like the look of this kid.
He does a lot of work up the ground and a couple more years in the gym room could really develop into another Warren Tredrea running up the ground to recieve then pushing hard into the 50 to pull in a grab. I reckon he is better suited to CHF coz I reckon Doug's can hold down FF with Samps and Phil crumbing. the big question in my mind is where to play big Lynchy. I hate to say it but he seems like a type of player that goes missing too easily. Maybe play him down back to help out Glassy and the boys.

Good point. Maybe it's about age?
We're not looking at seasoned players here so maybe we should expect some pirouettes (I love that word :) )
