Yesterday the commentators felt it was the bowling that was the problem, specifically Starc as he was spraying it around both sides of the wicket and it was swinging late once it past the stumps.

Makes Nevill look like another Wade if you go by the stats.

Problam is he let through a few in the game on the Isle of Wight too.

One of the thing that bothers me about this Watson/Marsh 'bowl off' is that whichever one doesn't get picked, if the other fails and the Aussies lose is that the other one is going to be brought in with the immediate demand of runs/wickets.

If a player is in the tesm for the first test, then that says that they are in the best 11 and should get more than two matches.

I agree. We need stability. I would give Mitch Marsh the whole series. But as you noted, the selectors have form being indecisive.

Warner and Clarke have credit in the bank. Watson doesn't. And hell, I'm a fan of Watson, but Marsh is outplaying him with both bat and ball.
