There’s a huge range of results possible, people dismissing England’s chances out of hand really haven’t been paying any attention.

What I will say is that the most bankable factor in any side that’s on show is Australia’s bowling: it is the one thing that you know is not going to let either team down. Captaincy, fielding, batting, bowling. It stands as the most reliable factor of all, ahead of England’s batting - after that you can throw a blanket over everything.

Big stoin is back lol

Great to see Greenie rested to concentrate on the shield Carey as well can concentrate on FC cricket in the shield before the Ashes

Honestly I wouldn't even play head or hazelwood this series...get them in the shield play some youngens instead...Pick Vidler or Beardman for hazelwood spot...give them some int exp

and starc has retired from in t20s to extend his career.....good move IMO

Vidler is going to be over in India was the Aus A one day squad around the same time

Not good news Pat looks like he will be underdone come the start of the series and might not get through the whole series

Big news IMO
Shit, shit, shit. Cummins has been carrying us for years, bat and ball, so it's panic stations from me. Do.not.want.to.lose.

We're in a bit of trouble anyway but without him we're proper ****ed.

cummins missing probably brings it back it 2-2 over the series. however, that's on the assumption wood, stokes, archer, and atkinson can all play a large majority of the series. i'm not willing to assume any of those players are reliably available at full capacity.

so it's still 4-1 australia for me.

I don't think Pat will be missing but he will not be 100% and underdone that's the concerning part for me

I can't see him getting through the whole series....come the backend Melb and Syd he might miss

Lucky we have Boland in reserve ....but I am also concerned with Hazelwood ....he never gets through a whole 5 test series and with Cummins with his hotspot....we might have to call upon some reserves

Neser I hope is fit and firing ..could be a smokey for the pink ball test at the Gabba.....cummins could be rested...adelaide this summer is a day test.

Jhye another to consider is also coming from injury he is now bowling again but he is targeting the backend of the series if needed

Also with Greenie coming back to bowling from an injury and now with Cummins not 100% ...the odds for Webbie staying in the team increases....reckon they will now seriously consider both allrounders to play

I feel that this is being overblown at the moment. If you listen to Ronny’s Mc’s chat, he explains that he was due for ‘de-loading’ (lol, coach speak) and that this hasn’t really changed a great deal.

A top class fast bowler like Cummins knows his body, and knows what he needs to do. I will await the first test before passing any judgement.

I’m honestly not worried about our bowlers in the slightest at the moment. I’ll do pls ty of worrying about our openers though.

I'm worried Jim where there is smoke there is fire

I think he will play in the first test but he will be underdone like last year leading into the Perth Test that's my worry

I’ll be worried when that occurs. Starc and Big Sexy are fairly indefatigable, Haze is a worry though. I reckon bowling should be fine.
