If you watch Woosha's presser from tonight he speaks very highly of Hill. Said that he and JK have tired in the last few weeks after both doing a heap for the team throughout the season (along those lines anyway). IMO he'll be sweet.

All the best for the guy, but after his retirement and that of the other 4, we have made a few steps in the right direction. A few seasons too late mind you. I can only hope we compensate by accelerating the process by making a few more tough decisions in the next few weeks. Still plenty of deadwood on our list to be cut. I only wish we activated the compo pick earlier this year. Leaves the door open for aggressive trading/free agency dealings, however unlikely.

Well, his body clearly isn't right. Wouldn't be up to an extended shot at AFL level.

I'd like to think it was a forced retirement.

Hams is unsackable, for when he felt Woosha's tap on the shoulder, he would've dropped at the knees and got a free kick/pass and escaped.

With Hams, Dick and Nicoski gone, hopefully that provides Newman a reprieve. Whilst Newman is eventually to play as a midfielder, he could take that small forward role while he finds his feet at AFL level. I very much hope Newman gets the go ahead to stay on. WC can ill afford to be discarding talent.

a real shame that we wasted as many games as we did on him - was clearly never up to AFL standard.

we have the worst track record in the AFL in recent times when it comes to developing small forwards. clearly an area we need to address.
