How did you guys find the feathers? Do they show on the map at all or did you use a walkthrough or something? Do the stats accurately tell you how many weathers are in a given area?

For the record I have found 1. :D

Unlike the gold chests which you can get a map for or the Codex pages which show up after climbing a viewpoint, feathers don't show up at all, so most people would just use a guide to find them all.

This is an interactive map to help you find them if you wish. The site goes down quite a bit though, so I'd try to remember which feather I'm up to :p.

What he said, and that's the exact same site I used to get mine. Haha.

FWIW, I ended up around 47 feathers before using the guide, which sucked because when I went back to get the rest, I had to check every place, and alot I'd already had. :(

What happens when you get all the feathers, does the mother come out of her coma? I rented the game so only had time for the main mission.

Just got to Venice and done the first couple of missions for the thieves guild, about how far in am I roughly?
Are the glyphs mandatory, as in can you finish Ezios main story without getting the all the glyphs?

You put the last feathers into that chest, and you walk over, help her up and hug her. She says 'Thank you Ezio, for not forgetting about me I really didn't pay attention. But you get the Auditore cape that you need for the Show your colors trophy. Fun cape, you can't lower your notoriety at all with it on.

You should be at around sequence 7 out of 12 so you're almost there.
No they're not mandatory, but I would recommend doing them. They're one of the best puzzles of the game and they start to really test you as progress through them. Plus the video at the end is really neat :D.

What Noppo said and you dont have to do them on the spot which i like otherwise i would be stuck on some of them for days.

I got the platinum. The last 40 feathers in Venice were a bitch to get.
Yeah.

from now on when I play these sort of games and i plan on getting the platinum I'll make sure I don't pick up any of the feathers/treasures/ pigeons/ whatever on the first run.

if you get 30 or 40 it just makes it that much harder to do a walkthrough later on. You don't know which ones you have and which ones you missed.

I was freaking out when I was 99 because I was so scared that the 100th one I would have already gotten meaning I'd skipped one and I'd have to go through again.

Cheers fellas. I wasn't planning on skipping the glyphs, just wanted to know if they related to finishing the story or not, I've done about 9 of them so far.

Does anyone know if there is any particular way to unlock parts of the city that aren't yet available? I'm still in Florence and am trying to take my fathers broken sword to Leonardo De VInci but he is in a part of the city that isn't availabe to me yet. I can't for the life of me figure out wtf to do. I've read through walkthrough's up to the level I'm on I can't see anything that they are doing that I haven't done. I'm absolutely stumped

You have to go up to the viewpoints to open up the city.

The viewpoints are the bits on the map that have an eagle in the middle. That will open up the city to more missions and will take you to Leonardo.

I just bought AC: Bloodlines for PSP last night off PSN. I've only played for a few mins but the graphics are really nice for PSP. I hope the gameplay holds up...

Just finished the game now. Awesome awesome game. I absolutely loved the first but this one was way better still. Not many sequels trump the original.
I was really hoping that there would be some answers for the 'Truth' from the glyphs. All I got was that it was Adam and Eve maybe escaping Eden or something like that?
I was also kinda hoping for a present-day setting for the next game, reinforced by Desmond having the best looking counter-kills for the entire game. But with the very last comments during the credits about him having to look for clues in his memories again looks like it's going to be back to the Animus.

Well there's two DLC episodes coming which will fill in the two missing memory sequences, so when
they mention to Desmond to go back in and search his memory for clues, he might be going back into the sequences they missed. Although I think it's highly likely that the Animus will be featured in AC3 as well.

Can anyone tell me if the Neptune statue is in a tricky place. The other 7 were damn easy to find, but this one is starting to shit me.

Also, feathers are always there regardless of what sequence you are in...right? Little Jerry's comment about being stuck on 99 is starting to freak me out.

They're all in pretty obvious locations, just run around the Villa with Eagle Vision on and you should be able to find it. If you're still having trouble I can link you a picture of where they are.

Yeah, you just have to unlock all the areas to get to them. After the main story finishes you can free roam and collect any feathers you don't have and do any side quests you didnt, so don't stress about getting them all before the final memory sequence.

Playing the first Assassin's Creed and probably made a n00b mistake but if anyone can help a brother out... much appreciated.

So before I went to the Bureau to get the assassination investigations I went to all the view points in the cities. And now when I go the bureau I don't have anywhere to look for the investigations or saving citizens because I've already gone to each view point. I can search for it but obviously rather to know where I'm going.

Does anyone know how to solve this by getting the icons back or am I stuck like this...

The first time I played through AC1 I went to all the view points first, before going to the Bureau as well and the investigation mission icons appear on the map even without going to the Bureau to gain information. If it's within the range of the map that was unlocked by that particular viewpoint, any investigation missions or citizens that need saving should appear.

If they're not appearing then it sounds like the game could be bugged. Did you try restarting your console?

Yeah cheers.
It's fine now. I found a viewpoint that wasn't on the map and that gave me a whole other bunch of viewpoints that give me the investigations etc.
